The day that I've been waiting for is finally here! My seventeenth birthday party! I can't believe it's already here. Joshua and I spent the rest of yesterday together. We really needed to work out our differences. Well it started off with talking, but at the end, our lips were doing something, but it definitely was not talking. Anyway, the whole school was invited to come to my party and I can't wait, this is going to be so much fun!

As I stood in front of the mirror examining myself, I caught a vision of the strange dream I had the other day. Since then, all I do is sleep; well at least I don't remember having any dreams. But honestly I don't really care. Once I get my beauty sleep, dreaming can kiss my ass.

I look gorgeous in my fabulous outfit. I'm wearing a pink Gucci strapless dress with hand-painted scroll designs in gold on it; a pair of designer stiletto heels with a zebra printing on it, a leather glove for my right hand, which also has a zebra printing, a pair of pink feather earrings and this cute necklace Joshua gave me yesterday with the initials "J+D" on it.

My hair is just let out in curls and I added pink streaks. My makeup looks flawless! My mom had a makeup artist come do my makeup, and I look incredible. I have three different shades of pink eye shadow (on my eyes of course); I decided not to put on foundation, so I just used brown powder.

Instead of using lipstick or lip gloss, I used pink lip stain. It's simple, but still flawless. Just then, Joshua walked into my room.

"Hey Dawn, your mom said it's time to..." he stops mid-sentence then looks at me.

"Baby, you look beautiful," he said while coming closer to examine me. I couldn't help but laugh.

"What did my mom say?" I asked while he examines me some more.

"What?" he asked with a confused look on his face. I giggled.

"What did you come up here for?" I asked.

He gave me a confused look then said "Oh! She said it's time for you come downstairs." He then gazed into my eyes for a second, and again, he is wearing contacts.

Before I can say anything about it, he pulls me close and embraced my lips. Oh my God! I don't know how I will ever live without this boy. After a few moments, he pulled away from me and said that we should go join the party. Well, I'm not going to argue with that. Time to have some fun!

Oh my God! My party was a huge success! Well, it is a huge success because half the school is still here, and it's already midnight. I had so much fun today, with my friends and Joshua. Now I'm looking for Joshua but he's nowhere to found. While looking around the pool area for him, I then heard a loud scream come from woods behind my house (our side of the town was built in front of a huge wood). No else seem to have heard the scream but I followed it just to make sure it wasn't one of my guests.

I followed the shriek until it stopped. Well I should probably turn back, I think to myself. As I was about to turn around and walk back to my house, I heard voices. I quietly hid behind a tree and listened to the conversation. I see two people, a girl and a boy, but I don't make them out until the boy pushes the girl to the ground. Oh my God! It's Shantel and Joshua. And Shantel is crying!

"Joshua, leave me alone!" Shantel cried. He then grabbed her by her hair and pulled her off the ground. His eyes were now red. What the hell? He must love those mood contacts.

"What do you mean leave you alone?" he asked her, still holding her hair, "you almost ruined my relationship with Dawn and you're telling me to leave you alone?" he asked looking furious as ever. The conversation goes on.

"It doesn't matter now, you're back together and that's all that matters right?" she asked trying to look all innocent. He looks at her; almost giving into to what she said but then quickly changed his mind.

"I still think you need to be taught a lesson," he said grabbing her top and pulling her closer.

His two canine teeth then shot out of his mouth turning into fangs........ Oh my God, I know how this ends. This is not happening. But before I could think twice, Shantel drops to the ground and her hand has a crescent of teeth marks on it and she's screaming and she started to shake. I need to get out of here.

I then turned around to run, but then I mashed a stick. And that was the mistake I made that led me to my destiny.

"Who's there?" Joshua shouted. I didn't know what to do next.

"Dawn?" he asked looking into the darkness. I couldn't do it anymore; I started to run like a lightning bolt. Not such a good idea to run in stiletto heels.

When he noticed it was me, he came chasing after me. He was right behind me running faster than anything else I have ever seen.

"Help me!" I scream as I ran through the woods trying to escape the wrath of... well... Joshua! As I near the end of the wood, I see my house and think "Yes, I'm going to make it!" Just as I thought I was victorious, he catches me from behind and grabs me from my waist with his left hand and my mouth with his right. He has me in a tight grip, so I can't wiggle my way free. Oh my God! This is my nightmare happening all over again.

"Ha!" he says, "you really thought you could've escaped me Dawn?" I struggled to break free of his tight grip, but it's no use.

"Don't even try Dawn, I've got you now." He says. As he turns me around to face him, his eyes that are already blood red look at me with what looks like anger and his two canine teeth shoot out of his mouth yet again turning into, long, sharp fangs. Oh my God! Oh my God! My worst nightmare has come to life, Joshua's a vampire!

"Joshua let me go!" I scream, again trying to struggle free.

"I'm sorry Dawn, but I have to do this," he said to me.

All I can remember after that was a piercing feeling of his fangs biting into my wrist and the burning sensation of the venom, and then everything was a blur.
