Joshua and I hung out whole lunchtime with the rest of our new born clique. You've guessed right! My new clique consists of Joshua, Chris, Jake, Jeremy, Shantel and me. Shantel's friends are even tripping on her. But I guessed she doesn't care, because she is getting to spend more time with Joshua. That bitch is tripping if she thinks she can be all over my man.

Anyway, on to better things, my clique and I are going out to hunt. Don't know why I am excited, but I guess it's better than sitting at home alone while your friends are not talking to you. Again, I had to call my make-up and hair artists, and this time I had to call my fashion advisor to. When they finished dressing me, they say that I look flawless, just what I wanted to hear. A few minutes after they left, my mom walks into my room.

"What was that all about?" she asks in a parental tone.

"What was what all about?" I asked her, playing stupid. She looks at me with a very annoyed look on her face.

"What was the make-up artist, the hair artist and the fashion advisor all about? And where are you going at eight o' clock in the night?" she asks me a little more sternly this time.

"Oh," I say with an innocent look on my face, "I just wanted some help and I'm going out with Joshua."

"Ok, I understand the Joshua part, but Dawnique, you have been dressing yourself for years and I literally had to beg you to use all those people to help you get dressed for your party. So what made you change your mind now?" she asked me with a look of concern on her face. I don't want to lie to her, but I can't tell her I'm a vampire! So I have to settle for lying.

"Mom, I'm going to be completely honest with you," I said giving her my best puppy dog face. "I'm going to be a follower of Jesus Christ." She looks at me and grins, but then got back serious.

"What does that have to do with you not dressing yourself?" she asked a little irritated that this conversation is going longer than expected.

"You see, if I dress myself, I'll be using the mirror and if I use the mirror, I'll be committing the biggest sin called vanity," I say not even knowing if that's true, but my mom doesn't know the bible, so I'm all good.

"Whatever Dawnique, I'm heading in early tonight, tell Joshua I said hi," she says while leaving my room. I just nailed it! I should be an actor one day, because I'm good.

"Are we supposed to eat that thing?" Shantel asked looking at the creature with disgust. We're hiding behind a bush, deep into the woods.

"No silly," Joshua answers "you drink its blood." We're hiding behind a bush, looking at a peaceful deer that is having its last meal for the night.

"All you have to do is jump on it, make sure you keep it quiet and bite into it and suck out every drop off blood," Jake says to us making it sound like no big deal.

Shantel gave him a disgust look and then turn to me and said, "I think maybe you should go first."

I know this trick ain't trying to talk to me, I may have to tolerate her, but that doesn't mean talking to her. Since I'm starving, I don't try to tell her off, I just go with it. I have to admit, I am a little scared.

Joshua must have seen the fearful look on my face because he took my hand and said, "Don't be scared, you'll get used to it. And this time, I give you all the permission to be aggressive to that animal."

I smiled at him as he planted a kiss on my cheek. I can see the look of envy and jealousy on Shantel's face as Joshua lets go of my hand. I turned to the rest of boys and tell them I'm ready.
