Dusk to Dawn

Chapter 7

I didn't get in trouble for my fight with Rosie today, because she didn't tell on me. She knows what I would do to her if she ever tattled on me. Anyway, I'm here at Joshua's house and his parents are out of town again. As usual his little brother and his little sisters are by their grandma. But this time his older brother, Josiah, was home, but it didn't bother us.

Josiah is 22 years old and has a girlfriend that is 19. He's always at her house, and you can guess, she's loaded. Her name is Kayla and when I say loaded, I mean she's loaded. She's kinda like a friend of mine, so we talk sometimes. She's like 3 inches shorter than me and has pretty long hair going down her back. She has dimples that were deep as the sea, she's not skinny but she is also not fat and she has the same eyes as mine. So you can guess she's a vampire to. She's faired skin and has a lot of the goods.

Josiah is also a vampire, and he has a look just like Joshua, they are both cuties. Josiah and Joshua are like two peas in a pod. But Joshua won't tell me how they both became vampires. I don't even want to know anyway, I need time to process my new life. Joshua and his brothers and sister act like your normal everyday family. They always fight over stuff, they always argue and they always feel their better than each other. After seeing Joshua's family, I'm glad that I am an only child.

So first it's Josiah who's twenty-two, then Joshua who's eighteen, then Justine and Justina (his twin sisters) who are thirteen and then there is Jayden (his little brother) who's five.

"Hey, you ok?" Joshua asked me bringing me back to life. We were sitting on the love seat in his gigantic living room with the lights dimmed.

"Yeah, why?" I asked him.

He looked at me like he was guilty for something, and then said, "I invited all of our new friends and old friends over including Tori and Kylie.

I look at him and the exclaimed, "What! Are you crazy?"

Just then Josiah and Kayla and walked into the living room.

"Me and Kayla are heading out, so I'll see you later lil bro," he said while giving me a pound. Kayla looked at me and smiled as she walked out and I returned the favour.

As I was about to grill Joshua some more, Josiah shouted out, "Ay yo Joshua you a lot of angry looking friends here, I'm sending them in."

A few moments later, the boys, Rosie, Chrissy, Mary, Tori, Kylie and Shantel entered the room. Shantel looked at me as if she was angry I was here with Joshua.

"That's it! Let me at her! Get out of the way!" Rosie shouted as Mary and Chrissy try to hold her back.

Oh if she feels she's some boss up in here, she's so wrong. I'm the only boss up in hear cause this is my man's house. I jumped out of my seat and stared at her.

"Bring it!" I spat. "Bring ... it!" I know this trick ain't coming here to start a fight at my man's house.

"Would you two stop?" Chrissy snapped. "How did we go from being best friends to this?" Rosie looked at her as if she was retarded.

"Chrissy you saw the way she got on me in the halls today and you're asking that stupid question? She lucky she caught me of guard or I would've beaten her ass. She don't know who I is." Rosie says while staring at me hard. Oh please, she has got to be kidding right?

"You ain't shit!" I yelled, "I whooped yo' ass in front of half the school and ain't nobody come to help you? Girl, please."

She looked at me with pure hatred in her eyes and for the first time, I see that I really hurt her. It wasn't my fault; I didn't ask to be a vampire. I feel horrible but there is nothing I could do about it. After a few moments of silence everyone found a seat and we all sat there in silence. Joshua put his arm around me and I leaned in to lie on his shoulder wishing that we could be alone with no tension what so ever.
