BLOOD TYPE

The three of them continued their way to RE, Natalia was mostly in a daze - she didn't even realise when they walked in that class had already started.

"Thank you for joining us, Miss Black, Mr Hale and Mr Cullen." Mr Brown said in a disparaging tone. Natalia flushed and moved through the room to her seat which was beside Edward and Behind Jasper. It wasn't until class ended that Natalia remembered Alice had wanted to speak to her since yesterday. She felt a twinge of guilt that she had forgotten. But just as Natalia had left the classroom, Alice had appeared beside her and looped their arms together, so she figured she was forgiven. Alice seemed very jittery as they walked towards English with Jasper to the left of Talia.

The rain was supposed to take a minor break, and so maybe the small trip Alice had wanted to do with her and Rosalie was possible. Talia was actually excited for whatever the girls had planned, partially because they were alot easier to be herself around compared to Jessica and Lauren, also because Rosalie actually seemed comfortable around her - which was surprising, but Natalia was thankful for it. Alice had said within the week prior that Rosalie didn't usually like many people, but it seemed Talia was an exception.

The rest of the morning passed by in a blur. It was difficult to believe that her mother hadn't already showed up out of the blue, because it was what she did when Talia ignored her for too long. Maybe she had finally realised that Natalia wanted nothing to do with her anymore. But that thought seemed silly when Talia knew it was just a matter of time before she did show up.

So Natalia was fidgety when her, Bella and Jessica entered the cafeteria. She was confused when she found herself looking around the room, looking for Jasper. Jessica babbled on and on about her dance plans - Lauren and Angela had asked the other boys and they were all going together - thankfully, completely unaware of hers and Bella's inattention. Talia was stumped when her eyes focused on his table, everyone else was there, but he was absent? Had he gone home? - Edward was missing too. She followed the still-babbling Jessica through the line, crushed. Natalia had seemingly lost her appetite and brought nothing but a bottle of water and a pot of strawberries. She needed to sit down before she left the cafeteria altogether.

"Jasper Hale is staring at you again, Natalia." Jessica said, finally breaking through her abstraction with his name. "I wonder why he's sitting alone today...oh wait, no, he's sitting on another table, just with Edward." Natalia watched Bella's gaze snap up to lock eyes with her, the pair shared a very confused look. The girls followed Jessica's gaze and turned to see them smiling. Once Jasper had caught her eye, he motioned with a slight movement of his head for her to join them. Natalia's eyes sifted over to Edward who was staring intently at Bella, motioning with his index finger for her to join him, too.

Natalia completely ignored Jessica as she rose from her seat, grabbed her things and sent a glare her way as she walked towards the two sitting at the table. Thankfully for her, the table was on the other side of the cafeteria, which meant Jessica was far enough away from her.

When she reached the table, Talia stood behind the chair beside Jasper and smiled down at him. He looked up at her and rested his hands on the table as he played with the bottom of his sleeves "Sit with me, darlin'?" Natalia inwardly groaned as she automatically sat down beside him. Her gaze locked with his as she put down her water bottle and strawberries. Talia's mind was locked on the pet name he had given to her - which could have belonged to anyone else, but it didn't, it came from Jasper and the thought made her shiver.

Natalia steered her gaze elsewhere and watched as Bella took a seat opposite Edward, leaving a seat emtpy between herself and Talia. She listened to the two awkwardly exchange words, her eyebrows raising when Edward sent a glance her way before locking eyes with Bella.
