Natalia sat in her bedroom, on her chair she had put beneath the window when she had reorganised her room that afternoon after being dropped home. Her focus mostly on her copy of Romeo and Juliet, but small snippets of the words weren't getting through to her. The girl let out a huff as she read the same page again for the third time, finally giving up and placing the book on her bed infront of her.

She was really waiting for a call from Bella - as she had promised to phone later on, to talk about Mike's beach trip to La Push. Talia thought Bella would have called now, but to no avail she hadn't. It wasn't the end of the world, but Talia had next to nothing to do except ignore the emails she recieved from both Jessica and her mother. All Jessica wanted to know was why Jasper had wanted to sit with her at lunch, which was weird, but all she would speak about was how she thought Jasper only spoke to her for a laugh. Whatever the reason was, Talia wasn't bothered as she enjoyed his company, but Jessica had some way of annoying the life out of her.

The worst part about Friday was that Natalia was down after she found out that Jasper wouldn't be in - Bella had told her that him and Edward had gone camping with their father. She couldn't stop the gloom that engulfed her as she realised she had no idea when he would he back and she had no way of reaching him.

At their usual table, everyone was full of their plans for the next day. Mike was extremely animated, putting great trust into the local weatherman who promised sun tomorrow. Natalia had just sat there and watched the group talk, smiling when she was included in the conversation and keeping the facade alive even when she wasn't. But the weather had seemed to turn around - it was much warmer, almost sixty. And if she had later decided she wanted to go, the outing wouldn't be completely miserable.

Talia noticed the unfriendly glances sent both hers and Bella's way from Lauran during lunch, which she didn't understand - nor care to understand - until she walked a few paces behind the girl with Bella.

"...don't know why Bella and Natalia, or whatever her name is" - she sneered their names - "doesn't just sit with the Cullens from now on." Talia heard every single word which Lauren had just muttered to Mike, but before she could say anything, Bella had pulled on her sleeve. They had never noticed what an unpleasant and nasal-like voice she had. Natalia rolled her eyes as Bella eyed her from about a foot behind. Lauran hardly knew them, at least no where near enough to dislike them - so where had the malice come from?

"They're my friends; they sit with us." Mike scoffed back loyally, with a hint of a territorial sneer. Talia snickered as she pulled Bella from out of the way, letting Jessica and Angela pass them. There was no reason to hear anymore of Lauran's opinion.

That night at dinner, both Billy and Jacob had seemed enthusiastic about the trip to La Push in the morning. Natalia had reminded them a few times that she wasn't sure if she was going - a feeling which had been creeping around her since Mike had suggested it. But Talia knew Billy had felt a little bit guilty for leaving her alone with Jacob for the last few weekends as well as some of the last few weekdays, but he had spent too many years building his habits to break them when he had gotten used to the routine. Of course he knew the names of the kids going, and their parents, mostly because of Charlie and mostly because everyone knew him too. But he approved nonetheless, later remembering to tell Natalia that Sam Uley had been made aware they were going. Talia silently wondered if Billy would be just as pleased about her planned trip to Seattle with Edward Cullen and Jasper Hale. Not that she was going to tell him - not unless she needed too.

Talia meant to sleep in, but an unusual brightness - considering the usual weather forecast - woke her. She opened her eyes to see a clear yellow light streaming through her window. Talia couldn't believe it, she hurried to the window to check, and sure enough, there was the sun. It was in the wrong place in the sky, too low, and it didn't seem to be as close as it should be, but it was most definitely the sun. Clouds ringed the horizon, but a large patch of blue was visible in the middle. Natalia lingered by her window as long as she could, afraid that if she left the blue would disappear again. In that moment, as she stood, bathing in the golden rays of sun, she decided that she was going to La Push with her friends.
