The weird shrine!?

Your eyes widened as you heard what Vinny had said, Someone put a what in the basement!? It scared you actually, if someone had somehow snuck into the house and got past everyone to set up a creepy shrine. Vinny nodded his head as he looked at your shocked and flabbergasted expression. "You can come look for yourself Y/n." He spoke as he motioned towards the basement door. You frowned as you nodded, walking over as you opened the door to the basement, turning your head and looking over at Jeff and vinny. Jeff was holding the camera as the two walked up to you.

"We won't let you go down there by yourself if that is what you are weary about." Vinny spoke as he walked up to you and placed a hand on your shoulder, trying to comfort you and try and ease your anxiety about the supposedly shrine in the basement. You felt a smile crawl on your face. That did ease a bit of your anxiety as you thanked your brother. Turning your head back around to face the basement stairs you took a deep breath in before blowing out your nose. You ventured down the stairs and deeper into the basement. The creaking of the old wooden floorboards making the back hairs of your neck and arms stand on end. You really didn't like this basement. No matter the times you have been down here. It still creeped you out to no end.

Jeff glanced at Vinny as Vinny turned to look at him, "alright, uh, I didn't want to say anything during the Ustream chat because you know they'd be like "Oh, it's for theatrics!" Or something like that." Vinny spoke as he ventured down the stairs and into the basement. You had reached the bottom floor before he did and he watched as your entire body went rigid. Eyes landing on the weird shrine in the basement.

"But, um, when I went back there, let's just say not all was kosher, dude, just take a look." He spoke as he motioned for Jeff to get a shot of the weird shrine in the room. There were defaced and burnt pictures hanging from the ceiling, taped to an air duct with purple tape. Weirdly there was also purple tape with the words

"CAN YOU SEE" Written in black marker. You seemed to be visibly uncomfortable with the weird shrine and wording. Jeff let out a laugh at the scene while Vinny seemed to be anxious. He glanced at you with a worried look before sighing. Jeff seemed to have stopped laughing as he realised how bad the situation actually was. "Yeah.." Vinny said, sighing as he looked at Jeff.

"What the hell..?" Jeff muttered under his breath as he looked at the confusing stuff in front of him. You walked over towards the burnt photos, inspecting them carefully. "Within the ten seconds it took for me to get up and get back, this was here." Vinny spoke motioning towards the shrine.

Jeff turned to look at him as he glanced nervously. "Well, I mean, we were online for a little bit." He said as he frowned, Vinny nodded his head, "yeah."

"Cause, I mean this wasn't back here when we got the weapons out to mess with Evan before." Jeff said as he panned over the shrine, you turned your head around as you heard what Jeff had said. "Wait, you guys were messin with Evan?" You asked, raising an eyebrow. Jeff chuckled as he rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand. "We were bored." He responded.

"Yeah." Vinny said, "Yeah, that's what I'm saying.."He muttered as he walked up closer towards the shrine, the most confusing part was..actually it was everything that was confusing. Why were there burnt pictures of you all, mainly it was from when you all went on the hiking trail. You could hear the sound of a toilet flushing upstairs, lifting your head up to the ceiling you raised an eyebrow, Must be Evan You thought to yourself. Vinny's eyes widened as he looked over at Jeff.

"Holy shit. Do you think Alex could've done this?" He questioned looking at Jeff with wide eyes. You seemed to be surprised at the accusation that Jeff's brother could have done this. Jeff seemed to have actually agreed with what Vinny was suggesting. "Yeah dude, I mean look, he used our duct tape."

You sighed, the idea wasn't that crazy and Jeff and Vinny did have a point, the duct tape that was used was the one that you guys owned. It looked like something Alex may have done as a sick prank as well..maybe. "Yeah, that's true. Yeah, it's the stuff you got from work." He said as he sighed, he looked at Jeff as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "I guess we're just paranoid. You know?"

Jeff nodded his head as he moved the camera down to the doll that looked like ratatouille from the Disney movie. It was the doll that Jeff had found when Evan, Jeff, and yourself went to the supermarket to film the Dreams and Eating video, but instead of being perfectly fine. It was burnt to a crisp. Everything was burnt. In several places..it was basically destroyed. "What's that, man..?"

Jeff kicked the doll as Vinny turned to look at Jeff, confused before he noticed the burnt doll on the floor. "What the-"He paused, looking down as he let out a small chuckle. Jeff joined in the chuckling as the doll was kicked. You sighed letting out a small chuckle yourself as you smiled.

"It's from the-" Jeff spoke but Vinny cut him off, finishing his sentence for him.

"It's the 'I like you' doll from Acme." He said as he kicked the doll, leaning down to pick it up and press its stomach. The doll said 'I love you' but its voice was disturbing..it was drawn out and very distorted. It said the words in reverse. You cringed your brows furrowing in disgust at the freaky tone and sound the doll had made, Jeff's eyes widened.

"Holly shit. What happened to it?"Vinny shrugged as he picked the doll, he glanced at Jeff, "looks like..a dog?" He said, raising an eyebrow as he looked at the two of you. You let out a small snort as you shook your head.

"Vinny it's burned to a crisp" you said crossing your arms as you frowned, Jeff nodded his head in agreement, "yeah, it's burned" he spoke before the two boys broke out into a small fit of laughter. Vinny smiled at Jeff.

"Shootin' down my ideas, huh?"

Jeff rolled his eyes, "whatever. I mean-"he dropped the doll back into the concrete floor as he sighed, "you think m-this is my brother trying to mess with Evan?" He spoke as he frowned, glancing at Vinny and you with a concerted expression. Vinny sighed as he looked at Jeff, sharing the same worried and concerned expression.

"Yeah, but um-"

"Yeah, but we can't let him see this."

Vinny looks at the shrine before glancing back over at you two, "We can't let Evan see this." You nodded your head. Even though it wouldn't be a good idea to not tell Evan about the fucking shrine..it still felt bad not to tell him something that would be so important.

"Evan will freak out." Vinny started as he pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a sigh, "and he's just now getting back to normal; we don't want that.."he said as he leaned his head up and crossed his arms.

"Let's get out of here. We'll get this in the morning." He said as he brushed past Jeff, moving towards the stairs. You and Jeff shared a slightly concerned expression on your faces. Jeff turned to look at Vinny as he followed him. "My brother will..No, not us"he spoke as he let out a small laugh.

Vinny let out a small chuckle as he nodded his head, you followed the two back upstairs into the living room. Vinny looked at Jeff as he smiled, "Alright." He spoke as he hummed a soft tune.

You did your best to ignore the guilt and anxious feeling in your stomach as you sat down with the boys, joining them in their antics.
