CHAPTER 10

   Sunday, The Wheeler House, 6:00 pm 

Joyce patiently waited with her kids her husband and Mike after she rang the bell. "HI guys!" Karen said, opening the door with a smile. "Hi Karen! Thank you for inviting us to dinner again!" Joyce smiled. "Of course. Come on in!" Karen said, moving past the door frame. Everyone smiled as the walked into the Wheeler house again, Mike stopping to talk to his mom. "So, how was it?" She asked. "Uh, it was fun. We went everywhere. I think he'll get along well with everyone." Mike smiled, looking at Will talking to El and at the dining room table  "You really like him, don't you?" Karen observed. "What?" Mike whipped his head back. "I've never seen you just, click with someone this fast. You must really like each other." Karen smiled. "Yeah, I guess." Mike said, looking back at Will, once again. "Come on, we don't want to keep out guests waiting." She said, walking away from the door. "Dinner is served!" Ted said, setting a dish in the center of the table. "Thank you, Mr. Wheeler." Will smiled. "Please, Call me Ted." He smiled. Mike smiled at how genuine Will's thanks was. "Dig in, people." Ted laughed. 

Once everyone was done with their meal, all of the parents sat in the living room along with their children watching whatever was on T.V. "Mom, my and Will are gonna go to my room." Mike smiled. "Okay, honey" She smiled and nodded. Will turned his head at the mention of his name. "What are we doing?" Will asked. "Going to my room." Mike said, dragging Will to the stairs. "God damn, Wheeler." Will said, out of breath at the stop of the stairs. "Sucks that you can't keep up." Mike said, walking into his room. Will rolled his eyes and followed Mike. "Here it 'tis." Mike laughed, sitting on his bed, "It's not a lot but-" Mike was cut off by Will. 

"Are you kidding? I love it in here." Will said, admiring everything from the Polaroids on the wall to the vines on the ceiling. "Who's this?" Will asked, looking at a picture of Mike with one older girl and one younger girl. "Oh, those are my sisters." He smiled, "Nancy is off at college and Holly is at her friends house." Mike added, pointing to each of the girls in the picture. Will nodded and walked over to another wall covered in Polaroids admiring them. Mike stood up and walked over to the wall Will was in front of, stopping behind him. "I assume this is Max." Will said, looking at the picture with a certain red - head girl. "Yep." Mike said, leaning down and resting his head on Will's shoulder. 

Will tried to ignore how flustered he was and continued looking at the pictures in front of him. "Which one's Dustin and Lucas?" Will asked, turning his head to see Mike. "That one's Dustin and that's Lucas." Mike said, pointing to a photo of Dustin and Lucas laughing. "What are they even laughing at?" Will giggled, looking back at Mike again. "Honestly. I don't remember." Mike replied. Mike noticed an old Polaroid he still had on the wall of him, Max Lucas and, Dustin dressed up like Ghost busters for Halloween from when they were all about 9 and immediately tore it off the wall. "What was that?" Will asked. "Nothing!" Mike said, walking back over to his bed. "No, Let me see it." Will laughed, noticing the Polaroid in his hand. "No." Mike said, trying to figure out somewhere to put it where Will couldn't see it. "Mikeeeee." Will taunted, trying to get the picture out of Mike's hand. "Will. No." Mike laughed. 

In the middle of this "fighting" over the picture, Mike gets a knock on his door. "Do not touch this damn picture" Mike said to Will before walking over to the door. "Hi Hol!" He said, leaning down to give her a hug. "Mike!" She beamed. Mike pulled away from their hug, "Did you meet El yet?" He smiled. She nodded, "Yeah, she's nice but, where's her brother? I wanna meet him too!" She said, tapping her foot in excitement.  "He's right here." Mike smiled, moving away from the door frame. Will smiled and waved as soon as he saw Holly, who instantly ran into the room and jumped onto the bed right next to Will. "Hi! I'm Holly!" She stuck her hand out. "I'm Will." He smiled, shaking her hand. Mike smiled and walked over to the bed. "You and El look a lot alike." Holly laughed. "Well, we're twins." Will revealed. Mike and Holly we're both shocked at this and furrowed their eyebrows at Will, who just laughed and nodded, noticing how they both did the same thing when they were confused. "Who's the oldest?" Mike asked. "Technically me." Will laughed.
