Saturday, The Wheeler House, 7:30 pm

Mike walked over to the entry-way and saw Will standing there. "Sorry, I wanted to let my mom know where we're going." Mike smiled, tying his shoes. "Don't worry about it." Will smiled. "Is El coming?" Mike asked, opening the door. "Nah. Apparently she doesn't like walks." Will giggled."Where are we going anyway?" Will asked, following Mike outside. "To go get slushies!" Mike smiled.

After a few moments of awkward silence, Mike decided to break it. "Wanna listen to music?" He asked, pulling out his Airpods. "Yes, please." Will answered with a smile. Mike nodded and gave Will an Airpod and put the other in his ear. He pulled out his phone and shuffled his playlist and smiled as he saw Reflections by The Neighbourhood start playing. "Holy shit, I love this song!" Will exclaimed, realizing what song was playing. "It's amazing." Mike said, starting to walk in the middle of the street. "What are you doing?" Will asked from the sidewalk. "It's funnier this way! Come on." Mike said, pulling Will into the street. "I promise we won't die." Mike added, still holding on to Will's hand. "Whatever Mike." Will laughed, blushing at his and Mike's hand together.

"Where'd you move here from?" Mike asked, walking into the store, dropping Will's hand. "This place call Lenora in California. It's like, right next to Arizona." Will said, grabbing the cup for his slushie. "Damn. That's like halfway across the country." Mike laughed. "Yeah. My dad got a really good job out here so yeah." Will explained. "Is there anything fun to do around here?" Will asked, pouring his slushie into his cup. "I normally just listen to music and hang out with my friends. We either hang out at the roller rink or the arcade or the mall." Will nodded, "I could show you around if you want." Mike smiled. "Yeah." Will nodded again.

"What're you friends like?" Will asked, following Mike to the counter. "You have to meet them!" Will laughed at how excited Mike got. "Do I?" Mike nodded. "What're their names?" Will asked, putting his drink on the counter. "Well there's Max, she a red-head and skates and has some of the best music taste ever. I totally think her and El would get along." Mike began, paying for the drinks. "Lucas is the nicest person ever and is amazing at basketball." Mike continued, "And Dustin, he is the smartest and funniest person I've ever met." Mike concluded, walking out of the store. "Can't wait to meet 'em!" Will said, following Mike out of the store.

"I think they would like you." Mike smiled, as a new song played, Florescent Adolescent by the Arctic Monkeys. "Bro this song is amazing." Will said as Mike nodded. "You used to get it in your fishnets, now you only get it in your nightdress. Discarded all the naughty nights for niceness landed in a very common crisis."  Will sung. Mike turned to Will and studied his face from the side. "You're a really good singer." Mike mumbled, thinking out loud. "What?" Will tilted his head, not hearing Mike "Uh- Y- you're a good singer." Mike stammered. "Thanks." Will said, looking down at his feet, trying to hide his blush. After that, both of them stayed quiet until they got back to Mike's house.
