"I have a little princess to pick up and I believe she's at Hogwarts right now." Grindelwald remarked.
"Are you sure thats a good idea?"
"Of course it is, its Party time and Amelia loves a party." Grindelwald told them happily.
Amelia was by the black lake looking for mermaids when she got an owl. She knew this owl, it was Grindelwald's.
'Meet me outside the gates, G.' she ran as fast as she could pushing open the gates she lunged at Grindelwald.
"Hello my dearest."
"Hi uncle Grindelwald!" Amelia declared.
"You ready to go to a party?"
"A party? I'm not dressed for a party!" Amelia countered but With a wave of his wand amelias outfit transformed a smile appeared on her face as well.
Amelia was in a sparkly red dress a red bow in her hair as they entered the carriage.
As they were riding in the carriage Amelia sat in Grindelwald's lap smiling out over the crowd. He wore his best suit and kept an arm wrapped around her.
"Bring us around the back it's not safe here-"
"No roll it down." Grindelwald corrected
"-and then... what?" Amelia looked between them confused.
"The window, roll it down." Grindelwald instructed calmly but he held just a bit tighter to Amelia. He heard their cheers, they were screaming his name.
Then without a moments notice, he opened up the door and he ran out into the crowd Amelia watched him fearlessly. They were all cheering demanding Grindelwald be put forward as a candidate. He lifted Amelia onto his shoulders and she smiled down at everyone as they worshiped him this was the best day ever she decided as they made their way closer the people chanted his name as he walked by.
When they got to the party the music stopped Amelia didn't understand why but Grindelwald looked at the instruments floating in the air and they be gone again he scooped her up as he approached the minister. Amelia smiled leaning into him.
"That's Amelia Dumbledore." Professor Hicks remarked sharply. "damn that girl."
"what are we gonna do?" Jacob questioned.
"We have to get her out but he wouldn't want us to compromise the mission..." Hicks debated a moment longer, "Albus knows that Grindelwald wouldn't harm Amelia, she is just young enough and foolish enough to think that he's right in all this."
"Madame Santos a pleasure, your supporters are fine voice." Grindelwald remarked as he approached.
"As are yours mr. Grindlewald." she answered before looking down at Amelia "Is this a friend of yours?"
"I'm Amelia" she answered smiling back at her "my father never lets me do anything fun.'' she added.
"And you're having fun?" Santos questioned
"Oh yes so much fun I always have fun with my uncle Grindelwald." Amelia assured.
"Well then have a lovely evening Amelia." Santos agreed.
"I will." Amelia assured. Grindelwald led them to their seats and put Amelia back on her feet.
"take a seat love." Grindelwald said pulling out a chair for her as they sat down. He had wanted a child, one very much like Amelia, she was full of fire and passion and adored him. She stabbed at a potato as Grindelwald took a sip of his wine.
"Uncle Grindelwald why is your friend crying?" Amelia asked looking to Queenie, she had a tear trickled from her eye.
"Go to him." Grindelwald remarked and she jumped up immediately not realizing how close you gotten to her. Queenie had seen Jacob but Grindelwald had seen Credence. "Queenie tell him it's all right I can see he has failed, he will have another chance it's his loyalty I value most.'' Grindelwald assured.
"Why is she sad?" Amelia questioned. "Who is that and what did he do wrong?"
"That's Credence he's a friend," Grindelwald answered
"Why is he standing all the way over there then?" Amelia countered taking another bit of her chicken this time.
"He failed his mission and he doesn't want to admit it.' Grindelwald felt as though he could be mostly honest with Amelia, he could do no wrong in her eyes after all.
"What was his mission?" Amelia questioned
"It doesn't matter my dear he will complete it." Grindelwald assured as he kissed the top of her head.
Jacob approached Grindelwald and he kept a hand around Amelias shoulders.
"Let her go." Jacob demanded.
"Do you know this man?" Grindelwald asked amelia and she looked over him considering it before shaking her head.
"Not the girl." Jacob spat. "Queenie. Let her go." But a man with a bad mustache screamed out, pulling Amelia's gaze away from Jacob.
"Let her go." Jacob demanded
"Excuse me?" Grindelwald countered Jacob drew his wand no one was phased at Grindelwalds table at least the rest of the ballroom became chaos.
"Assassin!" the minister shouted. Hicks turned looking back in disbelief as Jacob both his hands up, all eyes on him, he was the assassin that Dumbledore had warned them about. She flicked her wand again and Jacob's arm holding his wand thrust vertically into the air like a tornado vortex consuming the room. If he was going to play the part of wizard she was going to help him. Hicks sent another quick spell tying the bodyguard, their shoelaces wove together the guests were fleeing trembling as they tried to get out.
Amelia wasn't scared she had her uncle Grindelwald with her he wouldn't let anything bad happen to her. Grindelwald stared back at Jacob unmoving, while everyone else around them tumbled to get away.
"ASSASSIN!"
Grindelwald finally scooped up Amelia but he stumbled back as Hicks shot her wand out amelia went flying through the air. Grindelwald reached out grabbing her.
"Time to go my sweet." Grindelwald remarked helping her up, he put her on the table and she ran down all the way to the very large end. She glanced back to see a woman hurling pages from a book at them what the hell was wrong with this dinner? This must be her father's men she thought bitterly.
"I'll see you soon my dear." Grindelwald remarked calmly as Amelia was grabbed she put up a fight kicking and thrashing in the woman's arms but she restrained little Amelia.
Plates dishes papers all swirled around the room creating a bridge Amelia screamed out she didn't wanna leave she reached out for Grindelwald but he promised they would see each other again before they disappeared. and suddenly they were gone sucked into the book.
"No no noooo!" amelia screamed out "uncle Grindelwald!"
