"Where is Amelia?" Lucius grumbled.
"In the library... with Lupin."
"Wolfie? Why?" lucius demanded.
"Tutor."
"I could have tutored her."
"No you couldnt have. I could have." Severus countered. "Why ask him?"
"Ask him." Lucius decided.
"What?" Severus countered.
"Ask him, correction ask her why she chose him over you." Lucius decided shoving him forward. Severus hesitated, amelia beamed up at him when she saw him.
"Hi Sevy."
At that his heart melted and he relaxed sitting beside her.
"I'm so bored, Remus doesnt know how to do anything." Amelia decided.
"You got a 90 on your last test." Remus objected.
"And if you could do your job i would get 99."
"Not 100?" Remus countered.
"That would take a miracle for history of magic." Amelia assured.
"I can... I mean..." Severus stumbled for his words. Remus noticed his friends chuckled from the table beside theirs.
"What sevy?" Amelia questioned jumping up and wrapping her arms around him. "Hey we should have another sleep over. Movies, pop corn, licorice." she decided.
"I would like that." Severus agreed.
"Remus i'm done being bored by you." Amelia decided with a wave of her wand the books were flying at her and into her bag. "Come on Sevy." as they walked arm in arm, Severus built up his courage.
"Why didnt you ask me to tutor you?" Severus blurted out
"It wasnt my choice. I dont want a tutor. my father demanded it."
"Yeah well... why not me?"
"I'm a bad student." Amelia answered. "pissing off Remus is fun, you trying to teach me would end up with my trying to seduce you into letting me give up." Amelia admitted. Severus imagined that for a moment.
"I would like to tutor you." He finally decided after a long moment.
"You and Amelia?"
"She is the enemy."
"Shes smart." Remus countered
"She's manipulative." James corrected. Lily glanced over at the slytherin table. Severus offered her a small smile.
"That too." Remus assured. "Shes not a monster. She is only monsterous when we provoke her friend. Which is understandable-"
"Whos side are you on mate?" Sirius shouted.

There was nothing worse than losing to Gryffindor so Amelia made sure they never lost.
"Faster you nincompoops!" Amelia declared. "What was that? You call that a throw? Dodge damn it dodge!"
"Enough from the peanut gallery." The captain shouted.
"Shes useful." Tommy assured with a wink.
Amelia flew up to james bumping him with her broom.
"Watch it!"
"I am Watching." She agreed. "You are gonna lose potter. You know why?"
"Im sure you are going to tell me." James grumbled
"Because you are a loser." She took off before james could retaliate
"Shes getting under his skin."
"She has a way of doing that." Remus agreed
"Dont tell me you actually like her." Sirius demanded flabbergasted at the thought.
"No. No of course no." He assured.
"Then man up and wish her to fall from the sky like the rest of us."
"I have a heart." Remus countered
"No on full moons." Sirius murmured. Remus snarled at him. "Take that anger and point it at the enemy!"
"Good game amelia. You are really amazing in the sky." Remus remarked flipping open his book.
"I know." She agreed.
"Put james in his place. He was moping all weekend," remus added and a smile curved her lips.
"Good."
"I hate this." Severus grumbled
"What?"
"Them! Studying. Together!" He demanded as if it should have been obvious because let's face it. It should've been obvious.
" only hate it because he tormented you."
" yes that's exactly it and that's a very good reason." Severus agreed.
" she doesn't like him. Her father demanded she have a tutor.."
" then why is she smiling?" Severus moaned. Lucius followed his gaze
" She's going to marry me one day don't worry about him."
" what do you mean she's going to marry you?"
" I said what I said didn't I."
