Akshara Birla was not in a good mood.

Everyone could see it.

It could be seen in the way she had played around with her breakfast in the morning barely being able to eat it. It could be the way she had left for work and then come back moments later realising she had forgotten her wallet - completely unlike Akshara. It could be the way she had opened her work calendar to the wrong date. It could be the way she had sounded less chirpy when she had come back with snacks for the guards at night-time as usual. It could be the way she had decided to go back and rest in bed than go out shopping with Nishta.

Or it could be that she missed her husband.

And she missed him bad.

She'd gotten used to his presence completely. She didn't even know how to get a good night's sleep without him anymore.

Sighing, she groaned as she hid her face in her pillow.

"What have you become Akshu?" she reprimanded herself, "You have become the type of girl you and Nishta use to laugh at" she mocked herself.

"But... everyone knows for Abhi you have always been like this" she sighed turning around in bed so she was laying flat on the bed.

This sucked.

She thanked her lucky stars that they didn't have to do long-distance long term.

Sighing, she closed her eyes remembering his soft touch and his kisses that would always be a welcome surprise that made her day.

Floating.

Abhimanyu made her feel like she was floating.

And she was so deeply... so irresistibly in love with him.

She always had been.

Snapping her eyes open, she tried to ignore the jolt in her heart.

"Why did he not let me say I love you?" she thought to herself, an unease settling over her stomach.

She was sure he felt the same.

He did right?

She had caught him so many times.

It had to be love.

But why had he not let her say it?

His care.

His possessiveness.

His attention to detail when it came to her.

His 'being more in pain' than her when she was hurt.

His laugh.

His eyes.

His touch.

Everything.

Everything told her he loved her.

But then why didn't he let her say it?

An insecurity settled in her stomach as she suddenly felt sick all over. Like she was going to throw up. She closed her eyes tightly, wishing more than anything he was next to her.

And just like that.... her phone buzzed.

A message flashed against a background image of her dear husband. "Missing you sweetheart" it read from Abhimanyu himself.

Butterflies exploded in her stomach.

Suddenly Akshara felt silly.

She shook her head, getting rid of the insecure thoughts.
