The moment Akshara had left, she regretted it immediately. She should have gone back home. To her home. To the Birla residence. To her Abhi.

Not here.

It had been a couple of days now and the both were still processing their emotions and feelings.

Akshara had woken up every day with swollen puffy eyes, wishing to erase the altercation from that day from her mind completely. The weight loss she had accumulated from her couple of days of low appetite reflected off of her tiny figure and the entire family became increasingly worried.

She didn't say much.

She didn't eat much.

And no one knew what was bothering her.

Except that it concerned Abhimanyu.

Akshara had tried to maintain some space only picking up Manjari's calls and replying to Nishta's text message under the false pretense that there were some festivities at home that she was busy with. She didn't want to worry anyone.. they all already had a lot on their plate.

Sighing, she dug her head into her pillow wrapped in one of Abhimanyu's old sweatshirts letting fresh new hot tears trail down her face.

God this was so stupid!

She should have told him instantly about her stalker - of course she should have!

She would be equally upset if his safety was at risk and if he had not told her.

Akshara didn't want to worry him during such a busy time of the year when he already had so much on his plate but what she had done, she realised now.... she had disrespected him by not telling him.

He was right.

She should have told him.

He had every right to know her.

As her best friend.

As her lover.

As her Abhi.

Her safety had been at risk.

Something could have happened to her.

And where it concerned Anushka... she had been emailed a copy of the final harassment report that Nancy had CC'D her in where she could clearly see how Abhimanyu had been framed. She'd never doubted it though. She had trusted him from the get-go.. she knew nothing could have transpired.

Sighing, she turned over in her bed. Then why wasn't she running after him? Why wasn't she running over to him right now?

She wanted to, she wanted to so badly.

But her insecurities were getting the best of her.

He did love her, right?

Why hadn't he told her then that Anushka was working there?

Why had he not told her he loved her?

Sighing, she took a deep breath between her tears trying to remind herself that today was the day she had made the big decision regarding her life.

Things had to change.

Her phone buzzed beside her as she half-heartedly picked it up assuming it was Liana, her assistant.

"Akshu thank goodness you picked up" a voice echoed on the other side.

"Nishta?" Akshara said finding the courage to sit up in her bed at Nishta's distressed voice.

"Listen..."
