when you got to the enemy's hideout, the man who sat in the back seat carried to you into the building. he took you to a windowless room deep in the building and tied you to a bed, each of your limbs connected to a different bed post by a thick white rope.

you were unattended at the moment, as the boss needed a minute to gather himself after your drive there. he had to psych himself up to face you again after what happened in the car.

the way you laughed at him.. it gave him chills. it was completely psychotic behavior, almost as if he was missing something important. that you somehow turned the tables on him.

a different man strode into the room you were in, a lackey falling close behind him. he wore a three piece suit, a gentle and welcoming smile gracing his handsome face as his eyes found your body on the bed.

"is this the girl?" he asked, his voice ringing out like music.

"yes, sir."

the man bent down to be closer to you. he cupped your face and turned your head to face his. you didn't even react as you were still out cold, your eyes peacefully shut, your brow relaxed. it was a wild contrast to your battered state, your skin warm and starting to bruise.

she seems familiar.. he thought as he leaned in close to you. he brushed your hair away from your face, tucking a lock behind your ear so he could analyze your face for any identifying characteristics.

yes, i've definitely seen her before.

he grazed your swollen cheek with the back of his fingers, letting out a hum.

"what a pretty face..." he said, almost a little sadly. he turned towards the man with him. "did you get an ID on her?"

"no, sir. she didn't have any identification or a cell phone on her. they think she's a prostitute."

his brow furrowed slightly, something not adding up for him. sure, you looked cared for, despite your current state. he gave your body a once over, noting the white robe they put on you and picked up one of your hands. he looked closely, inspecting your fingernails.

"hmmm... she's not a prostitute." he observed. "she would have a manicure if she were."

he paused for a moment to give you one last look before turning away.

"dig up what you can about the known bonten executives and their activities in the past few weeks. she's bound to turn up if we look deep enough." he said.

"i'll tell the intel team." he typed up an email and sent it. when he looked back up, he saw the man in the suit starting to leave.

"you don't want to stay a bit longer?"

"no. i don't want to be around when they show up." he said, giving the man with him a knowing side glance.

"you think they'll come for her?"

"i know they will." he affirmed, turning back to the door and exited the room.

the other man trailed behind him, shutting the light off and locking the door behind him.

on their way to the rival gang's hideout, mikey, koko, and takeomi were riding in a car together. they had come directly from bonten's headquarters, while the others piled into kakucho's car and were also en route.

"koko. why are you here?" mikey asked.

koko was doing something on his phone, pausing when he registered mikey's question. he looked up to see his boss already staring at him, making him jump a bit. he locked his phone and put it screen side down on the seat next to him.
