"we need to talk." kakucho told the group, interrupting the party.

somebody started to protest when mikey came in behind kakucho, his hands stuffed in his suit pants pockets.

"we're meeting now." mikey decided.

the others begrudgingly got up, left with no choice but to listen to their boss and leave.

"where's y/n?" mikey asked, noticing you were missing.

"she went to the bathroom with rindou. should we go get them?" mochi asked.

mikey's eye twitched slightly.

"i'm going." he said, turning around and walking towards their private bathrooms.

"you shouldn't have said that, kanji." ran told mochi lowly, shooting him an unamused look.

"sorry, it just came out." he quickly apologized.

rindou was waiting for you outside the bathroom when he heard someone walk up behind him. he turned his head to see his boss approaching.

"there's a meeting happening now. go with the others." mikey instructed, his expression blank as usual.

"i'm waiting for y/n. i'll bring her with me." rindou said, nodding towards the door.

mikey started to narrow his eyes at rindou, but he caught himself just in time. he knew if word got back to you that he was glaring at rindou you would be.. displeased.

"she's not coming. go with them." mikey insisted.

rindou sighed, his shoulders sagging as he pushed off the wall he was leaning against and went to walk away. he was clearly hesitant to leave, and for some reason mikey picked up on it.

"i'll tell her it's my fault." mikey said.

rindou stopped walking but didn't turn around to look back.

"it's okay. i'm sure she'll say it's just like me to ditch her." he said before resuming his exit.

what's with him? mikey wondered as he stared at the bathroom door, waiting for you to come out.

you opened the door and came out of the bathroom moments later, your eyes widening when you saw mikey standing where rindou was. he was still dressed in his suit from earlier.

"mikey? you're finally back!" you exclaimed, jogging up to him and throwing your arms around him in a hug.

he hugged you back, smiling to himself at your affection. even though he could tell you were intoxicated, he knew it was genuine.

"where'd rindou go?" you asked. you pulled away slightly to look up at him.

"there was an emergency i needed him to handle. he didn't want to leave you here, so i stayed." mikey said.

"oh.. it's a good thing you're here then because i needed to tell you something." you started.

"what?"

"you look good in a suit. like... really good." you told him, your goofy grin being replaced with a shy smile.

mikey couldn't help but smile back at that.

"you should've told me earlier. we would have left already." he said.

he slid your arms off him and took you by the wrist, leading you back to the vip area.
