WARNINGS OF STRANGULATION, SEXUAL ASSAULT AND MURDER

The Boston Strangler was the name given to the murderer who murdered 13 women in the Boston, Massachusetts Area during the early 1960's, the crimes were committed by Albert DeSalvo, born on the 3rd of September 1931, died on the 25th of November 1973, he was 42 years old, he confessed to the crimes, some details were revealed in court during a seperate case against Albert and DNA evidence which linked him to his final victim.
In the years following Albert's conviction but prior to the emergence of the DNA evidence, various parties investigating the crimes suggested the murders were committed by more than one person.
Between the 14th of June 1962 and the 4th of January 1964, 13 single women between the ages of 19 and 85 were murdered in the Boston area, most of the victims were sexually assaulted and strangled in their apartments, their was so sing of a break in so the victims either knew the perpetrator or they let him into their home voluntarily; police believed that one man was the perpetrator.
The 13 women who were murdered were the following; Anna Elsa (Legins) Šlesers (56, found on the 14th of June 1962), Mary Mullen (85, found on the 28th of June 1962), Nina Frances Nichols (68, found on the 30th of June 1962), Helen Elizabeth Blake (65, found on the 30th of June 1962), Ida Odes Irga (74, found on the 19th of August 1962), Jane Buckley Sullivan (67, found on the 21st of August 1962), Sophie Clark (20, found on the 5th of December 1962), Patricia Jane Bullock Bissette (22, found on the 31st of December 1962), Mary Ann Bell (69, found on the 6th of March 1963), Beverly Samans (26, found on the 6th of May 1963), Marie Evelina (Evelyn) Corbin (58, found on the 8th of September 1963), Joann Marie Graff (22, found on the 23rd of November 1963) and the final victim, which lead to Albert's arrest was Mary Ann Sullivan (19, found on the 4th of January 1964).
Albert DeSalvo was sentenced to life in prion in 1967 and on the 25th of November 1973 he was found stabbed to death in the prison's, he was staying at, infirmary.
