The Colonial Parkway murders were the slayings of at least eight people who were murdered by an apparent serial killer who was active along the Colonial Parkway of Virginia between 1986 and 1989, during this time, three couples were murdered and one couple went missing and were presumed to be dead, the linking of the four crimes is circumstantial and no suspects have ever been publicly identified or arrested.
The four couples that were killed are the following: Cathleen Thomas (27 years old, found on the 12th of October 1986, along with Rebecca Ann Dowski), Rebecca Ann Dowski (21 years old, she was found along with Cathleen Thomas on the 12th of October 1986), David Knobling (20 years old, found on the 20th of September 1987, along with Robin Edwards), Robin Edwards (14 years old, she was found dead along with David Knobling on the 20th of September 1987), Cassandra Lee Hailey (18 years old, found on the 10th of April 1988, along with Richard Keith Call), Richard Keith Call (20 years old, found along with Cassandra Lee Haily on the 10th of April 1988), Annamaria Phelps (18 years old, found on the 19th of October 1989, but disappeared on the 5th of September 1989 along with Daniel Lauer) and the final victim is Daniel Lauer (21 years old, he was found along with Annamaria Phelps on the 19th of October 1989).
