22 - tea dance - the night PT 1

Rebbecas pov

I'm sat at our usual table waiting for Rose, James and Steve. I met up with Rose as I was walking in with James. As soon as he saw her he ran over to her pulling her into a hug spinning her around, he loves her alot. 'He's smitten by her' Steve says walking in alongside me 'he is, he'd do anything for her' I reply.

I see Rose walking towards the table 'hi Rose' I say smiling 'hi becs, just waiting on the boys?' She asks sitting down 'yeah, must be delayed in their lessons'  I reply. 'Looking forward to tonight?' Rose asks me 'I am, I can't wait for Steve and James to see our dresses' I reply 'I know I can't wait for James reaction' Rose says 'he will love it. He told me he loves what ever you wear' I tell her 'he said you looked amazing in your work clothes' I add. 

I soon see James and Steve walking over chatting to each other, when they reach us James sits by Rose. 'Hello doll' he says smiling kissing her cheek. 'James' I exclaim covering my eyes 'I don't know how you cope with this every lunchtime' I say to Steve 'it's okay, it's his way of telling everyone he's taken' Steve replies.

Rose's pov.

I'm sat with Rebbeca chatting whilst we are waiting for James and Steve, I really like Rebbeca and our girls outing. It's always funny when James tries to join us.

'Hello doll' I hear James say before he kisses my cheek, I turn to face him. 'Hello Jamie' I reply smiling 'did you have a good morning?' I ask 'I did but I can't wait for tonight' he replies 'what about your morning?' He asks 'oh the usual, English maths and home ec' I reply 'anything interesting during Home ec?' James asks 'we are beginning to plan a dinner party, so we had to write down what we would cook, what plates, bowls or cutlery we would need. We also had to draw our table layout' I tell him 'will you have to host it?' James asks  'maybe I'm not sure' I reply 'it was a tiring day' I add leaning on his shoulder. 'Maybe you should rest before tonight' James suggests kissing the top of my head 'we'll see' I reply.

'You both look adorable' I hear steve say, I look up to see him and Rebbeca smiling at us both. 'Hey Jamie' a female voice say, Steve and I roll our eyes, 'you going to the dance tonight' they ask 'want to be my date?' She asks. I feel James pick me up and sit me in his lap wrapping his arms around me, 'I am going to the dance, and my date is right here' he says kissing me on my lips 'ewe, you can do better than her' she wines 'nope, got my girl right here, and she's the only girl for me' he says smiling before pulling me in for a long kiss only stopping when Steve says 'annndd she's gone' 'she was getting on my nerves' James says 'when will they realise I'm not interested as I have the only girl I'm interested in right here' he adds pulling me close kissing me. 'I love you James' I say smiling as he pulls away 'I love you too doll' he replies Smiling. The bell soon goes, we have one more lesson 'meet by the tree?' James asks, 'see you by the tree' I reply smiling kissing his cheek before walking to my class.

Buckys pov

Rose, Rebbeca, Steve and I were sat on our usual table when a girl from my class approached me. 'Hey Jamie' a female voice say,  'you going to the dance tonight' they ask 'want to be my date?' She asks. I  pick Rose up and place her on my lap wrapping my arms around her, 'I am going to the dance, and my date is right here' I say kissing Rose on her lips 'ewe, you can do better than her' she wines 'nope, got my girl right here, and she's the only girl for me' I say smiling pulling her in for a long kiss only stopping when Steve says 'annndd she's gone' 'she was getting on my nerves' I say 'when will they realise I'm not interested as I have the only girl I'm interested in right here' I add pulling Rose in close kissing her. 'I love you James' she says smiling as I pulls away 'I love you too doll' I reply Smiling.

The bell soon goes, we have one more lesson 'meet by the tree?' I asks, 'see you by the tree' Rode replies smiling kissing my cheek before walking to her class, I follow her walking to my classroom. I am so excited for tonight, I can't wait to see Rose in her dress but also spending the night with her.

It's now the end of school and I'm leaning against the tree waiting for Rose, I soon see her walking out 'Jamie' she shouts running towards me jumping into my arms when she reaches me, I wrap my arms around her smiling 'what a lovely Hello Doll' I say smiling at her. 'You looking forward to tonight?' I ask her 'I am, I can't wait to see what you are wearing tonight' she replies 'I bet you'll look handsome' she adds smiling at me 'and you'll look be-a-utiful' I say smiling at her, 'I love you so much Doll' I say before leaning in to kiss her. 'I love you too Jamie' Rose replies returning the kiss.

'You lovebirds ready?' We turn to see Steve and Rebecca stood there looking at us, 'I am' Rose replies jumping down. 'I'll see you tonight' Rose says moving to stand by Rebbeca, 'we will pick you up at 6' I tell Rose and Rebbeca 'see you later James' Rose says smiling before kissing my cheek. 'Ready becs?' Rose asks Rebbeca 'I am, bye boys' she replies before her and Rose walk away.

'Let's go get ready' Steve says and we walk to mine.

Rose's pov

'Feel free to have a wash in the bathroom Rebbeca if you'd like' I say as we walk into my house 'thanks Rose' she replies, 'would you like a drink?' I ask 'yes please' Rebbeca says, 'ill show you the bathroom, and you can get ready in my room' I reply as we walk upstairs. I show her the bathroom before heading downstairs making us both an elderflower cordial before bringing it up taking it into my craft room where Rebbeca was sat.

'This is my room' I say to Rebbeca showing her inside, 'you have a lovely room Rose' Rebbeca says smiling 'is this you and Howard?' She asks pointing to a picture on my desk 'it is, it's from when I born' I say, the picture she was asking about was of Howard holding me in his arms 'its one of my favourites' I say, 'I think I'll have to get one of James and I' I add. 'Has James been in?' Rebbeca asks 'only briefly on our first date when he came and picked me up, he hasn't been upstairs yet' I reply.

We continue chatting until I realised the time, 'it's 4.30, we best start getting ready' I say. We both freshen up before taking our dresses into my room, 'you can use some of my makeup and hair bits if you would like' I offer 'thanks rose' Rebbeca replies. 'I'm home Rose' I hear Howard call out 'we're upstairs Howie' I call back. I soon hear footsteps walking up the stairs 'hey girls, you both getting ready?' He asks standing in the doorway 'we are' we both reply. 'You both will look stunning' he replies, 'what time are james and Steve coming?' He asks, 'their picking us up at 6' I reply. 'I'll have to take some pictures for you' Howard says smiling. 'I'll leave you to get ready, I'll be in my room if you need me' he adds before walking to his room, 'your brother is so nice Rose' Rebbeca says 'he is, I remember when he met James for the first time' I reply.

We get into our dresses helping each other before doing our hair and makeup, I decided on doing light curls and simple makeup.  Looking at the clock it was almost 6 when there was a knock at the door, 'ill get it' Howard says walking downstairs.

Buckys pov

Steve and I head to mine where our clothes for tonight are hanging up 'how are you feeling Stevie?' I ask as we are getting dressed 'I'm nervous' he replies 'everything will be okay' I reply placing a hand on his shoulder 'what about you buck?' He asks me 'I'm excited as I have been looking forward to seeing Rose's dress that's she's been making with Rebecca' I reply 'I bet they both will look stunning' Steve replies smiling.

'So, she's staying the night?' Steve asks me as we walk to Rose's place 'if she'd like, ma and Howard are okay with it' I reply. We soon reached Rose's home 'nice place' Steve says looking at their house, 'it is. I've only seen downstairs' I reply 'maybe one day she'll show you upstairs' Steve replies smiling at me, 'maybe'.

When I knocked the door Howard answered and welcomed me in. He told me rose was just finishing up, 'Rose, Rebbeca.' He shouts up the stairs 'James and Steve are here' he adds 'okay, we'll be down soon' I hear Rose call back.

I was blown away when I saw her walking down the stairs 'wow you look gorgeous' I say smiling before kissing her cheek. Howard took some pictures of us together.
