Rose's pov
James came to pick me up for lunch, Mary brought him to the workshop where Howard and I were, when Howard said it was time for lunch James and I headed towards the office so I could get ready. I went into the bathroom we have.
'wow' i hear James say as I walk out of the bathroom. 'you look beautiful Rose' he says smiling. 'Thank you James.' I reply smiling. James holds out his arm for me 'you ready?' He asks 'I am' i reply linking arms with him.
We begin to walk to the cafe where we were meeting Steve 'so how was your morning?' I ask James 'it was good. Spent some time with ma baking' James says smiling 'you bake?' I ask 'I do. I enjoy cooking. Ma's teaching me, she believe that men should know how to cook' Jamds replied smiling 'your ma sounds like a wonderful woman' I reply. 'Thanks Rose, I'd think you'd like her. You should come visit her sometime' James says 'I'd like that'.
'So how was your morning?' James asks me 'you looked busy when I arrived' he continues 'you remember the sketch I showed you on Monday?' I ask, he nods 'well this morning we were drawing up a blueprint ready to start making the prototype after lunch' I say. We continue chatting till we reach the cafe.
'Hey steve' we both call out waving to Steve as we approach him 'hey guys how are you both?' Steve asks 'I'm good, ready for a break' I reply smiling 'I'm great pal' James replies 'you look amazing Rose.' Steve says 'thank you stevie' I say smiling. We walk into the cafe and find a table to sit at.
'What do you fancy Rose?' James asks as we were looking at the menu 'I think I'll have the melted cheese sandwich with a tea' I reply 'what about you Steve?' James asks 'I think I'll have the same' Steve replies. James goes up to the counter to order, 'it will be ready in ten' James says sitting on the chair next to me. I go to my purse to get money to pay James back 'what are you doing Rose?' James asks 'paying you back' I reply 'no need, either of you it's on me' he replies smiling 'are you sure?' I ask 'I am' he replies before kissing my cheek. 'Thank you' I reply.
It wasn't long for our food and drinks to come, it was so nice to spend some time with my two friends.
