26 - happy birthday Steve

Rose's Pov 

It was coming up to Steve's Birthday. I decided to make him a roll up case for his pencils and a satchel for his sketchbook and case in, I wasn't due in the workshop so I decided to pop to the haberdashers  to get the fabric and bits I needed for the gifts. I had also brought along the gift voucher which James won so I could get fabrics for some new dresses. I was looking through the different pattens of floral prints.  'That looks good' a voice behind me says, I spin round to see James stood behind me 'Hey Doll' he smiles, 'Hey Jamie' I smile back, 'What brings you here?' I ask 'I'm here with Rebecca as she wanted some bits' he smiles, 'what about you?' he asks 'I'm getting some fabric for dresses and bits i need for Steve's birthday' I smile, 'Let me pay for your dress fabrics please' he smiles sweetly, 'Thanks Jamie but im using the voucher you won for me, may be next time' I reply smiling. 'Sure Doll' James smiles, 'Are you still coming to the cafe for lunch?' James asks me, 'I will be, I just need to drop my shopping at home and then I'll be there' I smile, 'Mind if I join you?' James asks smiling at me. 'Sure Jamie' I smile, 'JAMES!' we both turn to see Rebecca stood there struggling with an armful of fabrics, 'I best go help her' James smiles sheepishly, 'See you in a bit' I smile, 'Let me get these of Becs and I will be back' he smiles kissing my cheek. I picked up 5 different rolls of fabrics for my dresses before moving to where the solid colour fabrics are I decided on a light brown leather I tried to pick it up off the shelf but ended up dropping it and the other fabrics in my arms. 'Here let me help Doll' I hear James as he helps me up passing me a few rolls, 'I'll carry these for you doll' he smiles, 'thanks Jamie' I smile. 'Do you need anything else?' James asks me 'I need buckles, and cord but they are behind the till' I smile, 'Lets go then' James smiles at me. 

We walk to the till, I place the fabrics for the dresses on the till first saying the amounts I needed 'Miss Stark you can have the whole rolls as they are nearly finished' Lillian smiles, 'Thank you Lillian' I smile, 'your very welcome Miss Stark, your my favourite customer, Making anything nice?' she asks me 'Some new dresses' I smile. 'Is this your man?' she as gesturing to James beside me 'Yes, this is James' I smile, 'Lovely to meet you Sir' Lillian smiles, 'you have an amazing girl. You see these buntings?' she asks 'I do they are lovely' James smiles, 'Well Rose made them for me' Lillian smiles, 'She often holds small classes here' she adds 'Wow really Doll, you surprise me everyday' James smiles. I pass over the voucher for the fabrics before paying for the leather for Steve's gift. 'Lovely to see you again Rose' Lillian smiles You too Lillian, see you again soon' I smile before James and I walk out of the shop, 'Where's Rebecca?' I ask 'she already left' James smiles, 'She needed to head back home' he adds. 'Let head to mine to drop these off before we go to meet Stevie' I smile. It did not take us long to head to mine before we were back out on our way to Olive's. When we arrived Steve was sat waiting for us at our usual table, Olive knows we come in regularly and always saves us our table when we let her know we are coming in.

Bucky's Pov

Tomorrow's Steve's Birthday. Rose and I have planned to take him out for the day, we invited Rebecca too. Rose was staying the night, She's coming over after finishing at the workshop as she was working on a project. I had got some pyjamas ready for Rose laying them on the bed, Last night Rose came over after school and we made him a cake which will be here for when we get back tomorrow as we are going to have a sleep over, there's a pull out bed in the spare room which we will move in tomorrow morning. There's a knock at the door 'I'll get it' I call out, running down the stairs I see Rose, 'sorry i'm late I had to pop home to shower' She smiles, 'You didnt have to do that doll' I smile leading her inside, 'I needed to James, I forgot to give Howard my things for tomorrow this morning so I had to pop back home' Rose smiles, 'Supper will be ready in 20' Ma calls from the kitchen, 'Ta Ma' both Rose and I call. 'Lets  get your things upstairs' I smile, Rose and I head up to my room, if you want to hang up what you are wearing tomorrow you can' I smile, 'Ta Jamie' Rose smiles kissing my cheek. Rose lifts out of her bag a pastel pink dress, 'Wow Doll, that looks beautiful' I smile  wrapping my arms around Rose's waist kissing her cheek.  'Suppers on the table' Ma calls up to us, 'Coming Ma' I call back, 'Lets go eat' I smile at Rose before we head downstairs.
