When I finally came to, my eyes opened up to find I was lying on a couch in the Slytherin common room. I looked over and saw Ominis sitting on the floor next to me.
"Ominis?" I managed.
"Merlin's beard, if it isn't the knight in shining armor herself, welcome back Madeline," Ominous joked.
"What happened?" I went on only half remembering my actions.
"Well after you stumbled down the stairs and presented us with Gryffindor's sword, you sort of, passed out, how much did you have to drink?"
I suddenly realized how buzzed I still felt. I looked around realizing the common room was darker than normal, multicolored candles flickered in the room, party in full effect. I must not have been out for very long.
"Erm..." I struggled remembering. "I remember taking at least a couple shots of fire whiskey... and..."
"And?" Ominous asked surprised.
"One of Garreth's potions..."
Ominous shot up from the ground. "Merlin's beard Maddie, how are you conscious right now?" Ominous looked panicked. "SEBASTIAN?" he called out.
Sebastian? I thought. Why was Ominis calling for him? He was the last person I wanted to see me like this, I didn't want to see his smug face after realizing what I had to do to get the sword of Gryffindor. "Ominis.. No, I'm fine..." I pleaded only to be ignored.
I heard hurried footsteps running towards us. His voiced sounded panicked. "Ominis, what is it, what's wrong, I only stepped away for a minute," Sebastian's voice rang out.
A minute? I thought. Had Sebastian stayed by my side while I was passed out? Even after our awkward encounter earlier? He was at my side by Ominis in a second. I looked up to him.
His cheeks flushed realizing I was awake and heard the concern is his voice. He cleared his throat and knelt down to my side. "Good Morning hero," he smirked, "A bit too much to drink with the Gryffindors?"
I rolled my eyes. "Oh shut it."
"No Sebastian, she drank one of Garreth's potions!" Ominous warned.
Sebastian's eyes went wide, "Merlin Moody, are you asking for a death sentence?" His eyes darting all over my face, studying me, seeming to study every freckle and line to make sure I was ok.
"I didn't mean to, I was trying to trick him, but accidentally still swallowed a tiny bit," I confessed. I went to move my hand, only to realize I couldn't. I couldn't move at all. "Shit." I groaned.
"What is it?" Ominis asked concerned, Sebastian's eyes now looking me up and down completely, concern washed all over his face.
"I can't move," I answered worried. "Must be a side effect."
I waited for a smug look from Sebastian, or an I told you so. But it never came. Instead he reached for my arm. Upon contact, I felt my skin jolt with electricity. Sebastian took a deep, sudden breath in, almost like he felt it too. He quickly averted his eyes from mine, hoping I wouldn't notice.
"We need to take her to the hospital wing Sebastian, immediately!" Ominis demanded.
"No Ominis, with her like this? They'll give her detention the second they know she's had anything to drink!" Sebastian scolded.
"Sebastian, she can't bloody move, she needs help." Ominous pleaded.
Sebastian looked to me. Now I was worried. I didn't know how long this would last, but I certainly didn't want to get caught drinking, let alone all the other things I did that night.
