I woke up, eyeliner and mascara smudged all down my face, eyes puffy from crying, still lying in Ominis' lap. Ominis was lightly sleeping, back against the undercroft wall, head crooked to the side.
I shook him gently, "Om, we should get ourselves showered, we fell asleep in the undercroft."
Ominis woke up and sighed, "I suppose you're right. Picnic by the shore today? You could use the sunlight, it's good for you."
"Yea you're probably right, ok, let's go." We got up and I looped my arm through his, and headed for the common room. A couple stares and glares throughout the castle told me I must have looked like a mess.
"Mr. Gaunt, Miss Moody," a voice called to us from behind. It was Professor Weasley. Shit.
We approached her as she gave us a strange look. "Is everything ok Miss Moody?"
"Yes Professor, I'm sorry, I was just on my way to the showers, fell asleep in my makeup," I fake laughed.
"As you should, anyway, I stopped you here because Miss Oakes has come to me with a rather large shining bruise on her face, and she mentioned you have something to do with it, same for you Mr. Gaunt, I heard while you may not have been the one who caused it, you were there as well," she explained.
I sighed, but I wasn't go to lie, "Yes Professor, I'm—"
"She called her a mudblood, Professor," Ominis interrupted.
Professor Weasley looked taken aback. "I'm sorry to hear that. One should never use those words, especially to each other. It's vile and cruel. Anyhow, Miss Moody, while I understand the want to, address the situation, violence wasn't the way to go about it, however, I assure you that she will be receiving punishment as well," she explained.
"I understand, thank you professor, for understanding," I said. "Just, please don't make me do detention with her, I think it's best we keep our distance, for now."
"Understood, Miss Moody, you will report to me at the end of next week, for detention. Bring Mr. Gaunt with you, it won't entirely be a punishment," she winked as she headed off.
The rest of the week went on rather plainly. Sebastian clung to Adelaide's side the entire week. Ominis told me he hardly even came to sleep. I spent my days in class, avoiding Sebastian's exhausting stares, and then in Quidditch practice. Sebastian and I still had not talked to each other since the night in the undercroft, but I still caught him glaring at me from time to time. I was exhausted from trying to figure out what was wrong.
In between classes and Quidditch, I either spent my time studying or hanging out with my friends. Garreth and I had yet to find a moment alone to talk about what had happened at the party, but honestly, his kiss was the last thing on my mind.
Friday finally came and Quidditch practice came to an end. It was time for Ominis and I to report to professor Weasley for our detention. I chose to stay behind after practice to change my clothes in the huddle room before heading to Professor Weasley. My back was turned to the door as I removed my Quidditch shirt, I had already changed into my skirt and tights, so all that remained on my upper half was my bra.
Suddenly, I heard the door behind me open and I quickly turned around and covered myself with my Quidditch shirt.
"Bloody hell Sebastian, do you mind?" I asked, annoyed.
Sebastian closed the door behind us and stared at me intently in the darkened shed like room.
"Can I help you?" I demanded.
He just stared at me like he was memorizing every inch of my body. He took a step closer to me as I backed into the wall.
"What's your problem?" I asked again as he reached his hand for the Quidditch shirt in my hands.
