loveless

What do you do when forever ends,
When the sun sets and day never begins,
When you're faults gleam like stars,
And you aren't sure who you are...

You used to tell me I was your only one,
The end of your searching a journey done,
But now things seem so different
You made me dependent
And instigate fights that break me down,
I'm beginning to wonder why you keep me round.

What do you do when promises fade,
When you try and try just to be pushed away,
When you're out of words and at a loss
And the will to push ends your heart lost

I want to repair us whatever is left
I want to stay us I want to be kept.
You keep pulling away and leaving me alone
I scream I need you and yet you aren't really home

I can't say how badly I miss the us we were
How badly I want the past to simply blur
I want us and how we used to be
I want your laugh, your smile, your arms around me.

Please let us go back to the way it was before
I'd trade the world to go back to what we'd swore,
You and me against the world a team together
Fighting each storm holding one another in bad weather

So what can I do when forever ends
To bring back my sun and let day begin
Cause the world is weighting down on me
And I need you to take hold or leave me be...
