Lost in Time

I wonder these hallow halls of my mind,
Wondering what might remain; what was left behind,
And though it's been a million years,
This place still holds all my tears.

Do you remember how we used to play,
God it feels like it were yesterday,
But all that's gone and burned to ash,
Miles of rubble; nothing but trash

I remember these old paths so well,
But they've been burned by pits of hell,
My heart aches for our yesterdays,
But life has taken them away.

I made my choice and left that day,
And we all went our separate ways,
And though I left you all behind,
I carried you within my heart and mind.

But when I left you locked me out,
And I was forgotten all about,
Nevermore could we be,
Any kind of family.
