SHOOTING STAR

I closed my eyes for a moment,
All I could feel was darkness,
But as the moment passed by,
Something  flashed in my sky,
It was a shooting star,
For a moment I forgot about my scars.
I felt hope glimmering on the surface,
It made me feel like I could win the race.

Moments like this make me desperate,
They make me want to create,
They make me want to breathe,
Even though I am drowning underneath.

I wish I could capture that star ,
And make it mine .
I wish I could give my all,
Even if I’ll be dying.

There was a time
Where my spirit was sublime
But now it is undefined.

I am as lonely as the moon,
I hate that I long for the warmth of the noon,
While wishing to be with the star,
But the star can never hide my scar.

So I open my eyes ,
And long for a star which never survived.
It was all a lie.
