Pushing Me Away

Another week passed and Felix and Chan would so much as look at each other and then be as petty as children and turn the other way. They would only interact at their alliance meetings but nothing else. Because Chan was the king and Felix the crown prince, they had no choice but to sit next to each other in the dining room.

But that didn't mean the mere sight of the other didn't put a pressure in their hearts that was pushing them down, enough to drown them. And they were both just as stubborn as they were petty. Everyone around them also has a hard time to understand what happened to them, Felix was pretty much the only person Chan would talk to most, that fact even surprising Minho.

"Harvesting would be provided by Amorite during winter and Endora in summer and spring." Was the idea proposed by Minho. Jeongin agreeing as it was reasonable.

"Why not just one kingdom?" Felix asked, not understanding how that would work and why one kingdom can't just be in charge of it.

"Because we have more crops in winter and you in summer. It's an alliance, not a one man job." Chan explained in a harsh tone.

"Oh I'm sorry, your highness, I'm a little new to this incase you've forgotten." Felix replied with sarcasm dripping from his words making the two advisors's eyes widen at the disrespect towards the king.

"Well maybe your dear daddy shouldn't have sent you then." Chan snapped with a mocking smile, angering Felix further.

"Why don't you tell that decision to my father then, oh wait. He's not here, I am so deal with it." Before this went on any longer, Minho stopped them both by hitting his hands against the table.

"With all due respect, you both are acting like childish idiots. Whatever the hell happened between you shouldn't come in the way of business. Now get your shit together so we can finish this and you two won't have to be near each other. Deal?" Minho said, frustration and a little anger between his words.

The two mumbled a small 'fine' and got back to discussing harvesting and trading. Thankfully the rest of the meeting went by with no more sarcastic or snarky comments so Minho and Jeongin were relieved. But that didn't stop the two from glaring at each other.

Felix will admit though, Chan's glare was more intense and he felt like his soul was dying every time Chan set his dark glare on him. There was just something about those onyx orbs that made him want to submit. He fought the urge though, thankfully.

They parted ways and the two advisors let out a breath. There was so much tension in the room it was unbelievable.

But it had also been a week, almost 3 week since Felix got here and they were in Amorite for 6 months. This was a 6 month project, if there are no delays, and Felix had just about had it. He was never good with patience and his and Chan's sudden rivalry angered him to no end. He hated this.

So the next day he set off to find Chan, he already told himself to not to get angry and have a normal civilised conversation. But seeing the older in the garden right now, might just change his mind.

"Chan." He called out and the older turned around with a raised eyebrow at the name.

"Apologies, you majesty." Felix didn't meant it, Chan could hear the sarcasm loud and clear and rolled his eyes.

"I came to have a normal conversation, are you capable of doing that or are you just going to walk away again?" Felix said, stepping a little closer but not close enough for Chan.

"I'm listening. I may not say much though." Chan replied and Felix could live with that, Chan will end up saying more than he thinks.

"I don't know what I did to make you suddenly hate me so much but I don't like how you're ignoring me and pretending I'm not there, I hate it. You've completely shut me out and I want to know why?" Felix got staright to the point and it took Chan a while to come up with a reasonable response.
