6 hours. It took 6 hours for the doctors to finally exit Chan's room and face the crown prince.
Felix never left Chan's door. Everyone begged him to go have a bath or eat something, he got his own wounds dressed but he couldn't care less. Chan needed him and he wasn't going anywhere.
The doctors came out and Felix stood from his position on the floor. The rest had also gathered around the doctors.
"The arrow went all the way through and it was mere millimetres away from his heart. Any further down and we, would have lost him." The doctor explain and Felix could only think about worst case scenarios.
"Would have?" Minho asked.
"The king is no longer in critical condition." Felix let out a breath of relief he didn't know he was holding. Chan would be okay.
"He's in a coma and unfortunately we don't know when he will wake up, hopefully soon but we have no idea when." She informed
"He will definitely wake up, right?" Minho said and the doctor nodded with a smile on her face. She said they could go in.
They all went and the sight hurt Felix's heart. Chan had bandages across his chest and back. His face looked pale and he had bruises everywhere. He looked, lifeless. The only indication that he was alive was his chest slowly rising to show he was breathing.
"We'll leave you alone Lix." Changbin said and left with the rest. Now it was just Felix and Chan. Two lovers who went through shit no one could if they weren't as strong as thm.
"Hey." Felix said and sat in the chair beside Chan's bed. He held his hand and flinched, it was so cold. As cold as the winter snow that would cover lands in a big while blanket.
"I don't even know what to say. Wake up? I know you will. You wouldn't leave me, not again. I'm sorry for what I said in the prison, about you being the first target of my sword. I was being stubborn as you know I am. I hid my darkness away though. I promise I won't try to kill anyone." He let out a small laugh.
"God Chan, this is the last thing I expected. Or wanted. You should've never gotten hurt. And the doctor said it was so close to your heart. I-I can't loose you, ever. I'd die. When I was in that prison you were the only thing that stopped me from going insane. I need you Channie." Felix was crying now and he looked down, he couldn't bare looking at Chan's face and remembering why he was in this situation in the first place.
"W-why is my prince c-crying?" Felix shot his head up and was met with Chan's beautiful black eyes staring right back at his. Chan heard everything Felix said, rune say a person can hear everything in a comatose state, and Chan did. What he heard giving him strength to open his eyes.
"Channie." Felix whispered, he stood up and hugged Chan but stepped back when he heard him wince.
"I'm so sorry." He quickly said, he couldn't be more happy to see the elder alive and okay, well as okay as he could be.
"It's okay Lixie. I'm fine." Chan assured and tried to sit up but then gave up when it was futile attempt.
"No, I'm sorry for everything, you getting hurt, the stupid war. You got hurt saving me, and the war. Chan you lost so many solidiers. And that wouldn't have happened if I hadn't gotten fucking kidnapped. And-" he got cut off when he felt chan kiss his hands, his lips were as cold as his hands were.
"I'm not going to sit here and listen to what would've happened. I'm not going to listen to you degrade yourself. I did what I did for you my prince, not because of you. I love you and would anything for you. And besides, haven't you seen the scars on me, this isn't the first time I've been shot with an arrow." Chan was able to sit up after some water and explained to Felix that none of this was his fault.
