Felix believed Chan. Something about the way he said he said it made you want to believe him. The statement was filled with truth.

The next day Felix and Chan, along with both their advisors Minho and Jeongin were in the drawing room discussing parts of the alliance. Today they were discussing joining their travelling routes as both kingdoms had issues with them. The meeting lasted a little over two hours.

The two parties parted after and Felix and Jeongin decided they'd go out to the village today with Jisung. Chan had assigned Hyunjin to go with them as protection. They all got ready into ordinary clothes to not make it obvious they were royals. Felix wanted to see the real Amorite, not the one where they act all good when seeing anyone with a royal crest.

Because no other guards were with them and Felix and Jisung knew of their relationship, Jeongin and Hyunjin walked side by side with their hands intertwined. They were lost in their own little world as they walked ahead of the other two. It was an endearing sight to Felix.

The village people were all really kind and seemed happy. Felix spoke to some and heard that the king provides them with everything they need to live and listens to all their issues and tries his best to solve them.

But not all of them spoke good things.

"A murderer shouldn't be ruling a kingdom. And he wouldn't be if his parents were alive, except he killed them." Had said an old woman, she owned a little flower shop and when Felix asked her what her thoughts were on the king, this is what she said. And Felix replied with

"Don't believe all you hear ma'am. The king has done his best to look after all of you, to protect the kingdom, has he not? I believe you should be grateful and ignore rumours." He said it with slight venom laced in his tone. He walked away without hearing a reply, not that the woman had any.

The other three were also shocked at how quickly Felix went to Chan's defence, but they figured it was a fellow royal thing.

They soon returned to the palace and wore the appropriate clothing again, Hyunjin and Jisung in their kingdom armours.

"How was the village?" Chan asked when he stopped Felix in the corridors, Felix smiling when he saw the king wasn't mad at him from yesterday.

"It was good Chan, the people told me how you take care of them, provide them with everything to live comfortably." He didn't want to talk about what a little minority of people said though.

"It's okay Felix. I know they weren't all good." He said casually

"How could you say that, you've given them so much but they speak ill of you. Why let them do that?" It saddened Felix that Chan's own people saw bad in him.

"I've grown use to it. There's not point in proving them wrong, they wouldn't listen, especially because it's been years." Felix could see the sad glint in the others eyes and it made him angry.

"Well I think it's bullshit." Chan's eyes widened. That was definitely not suppose to be the tongue of a royal, but he smirked. Felix really loved going against his rank.

"It seems you've become quite comfortable with me to be speaking with such language Lix." The nickname slipping but niether questioning it.

"Sorry, again speaking without thinking." It's like Felix had a habit of apologising a lot.

"It's alright Felix. It's endearing, you were too formal with me anyway, everyone is." Felix let it go and went back to the original conversation.

"Still, Chan. You should try to tell them you had no hand in your parents deaths." Chan however, didn't want to go back to this conversation.
