Chapter 10

"Ughh... What did I just do?" Wesley said as she got up out of the bed. She looked frantically for her phone to see what time it was. Once she located it, she turned it on, the screen read "2:48AM." Looking back at the bed, Wesley saw her ex fast asleep. Did she really just have sex with her ex?

Wesley couldn't believe that after everything she had been through, she was right back where she started. But she wasn't upset or mad about it.

Wesley finally figured out what was missing in her life. Could her and Fletch start over and make things work? She didn't know the answer to that, but she did know one thing – she had some of the best sex of her life with her ex.

Wesley got back in the bed and wrapped her arms around Fletch. With the sexiest sleepy voice Wesley has ever heard, Fletch grumbled, "Hi beautiful. Is everything okay?"

"Yes, I just missed you." Wesley said wiggling her way into Fletch's arms. She nestled her head into Fletch's neck.

"I missed you, Wes."

Fletch kissed Wesley on her head and held her tight.

For the first time in a very long time, Wesley felt she was at home. How long would that feeling last? What will happen once they can leave the cabin?

Wesley wiped the negative thoughts away. She needed to stay present. Right now, she was in Fletch's arms. She dreamed of this for the past five years. She wasn't going to let this go – she was going to do everything she could to keep Fletch.

Her life was changing but the change felt familiar. Wesley slowly started drifting off. Before she knew it, she was in a deep sleep.

Wesley woke up to the smell of coffee. She never was a big breakfast type of person, but she always needed coffee. She rose up out of bed and grabbed a hair tie off the side table. She pulled her hair up into a messy bun.

Walking into the kitchen she found Fletch sitting at the table reading a book. Once she noticed Wesley, Fletch hurriedly sat her book down and got up.

"Good morning, beautiful." Fletch said pulling Wesley into a deep kiss.

Humming, Wesley pulled back. "Good morning to you, Hayden Fletch Eden."

"Don't do this too me!" Fletch said, pulling Wesley even closer. "You know how that makes me feel. You sound so sweet saying my name."

Fletch didn't allow many people to address her by her first name. To her employees it was always Ms. Eden. To friends and the Southworth family, whom she considered her own family, it was Fletch. But to Wesley, she could listen to way her name rolled off her tongue all day.

"You just looked too cute sitting there reading. I needed to get my point across." Wesley said scrunching her nose and wrapping her arms around Fletch's neck.

"I get the point then. You are precious, Wes."

"Precious enough for coffee?" Wesley said eyeing the coffee pot.

"I just put it on before you came in here." Fletch let go of Wesley and walked over to the counter and grabbed a coffee cup. "Let me make you a cup. How do you take it?"

"Coffee to th-" Fletch cut her off.

"Coffee to the handle and a splash of oat milk." Fletch said looking at Wesley.

A little shocked, Wesley smiled big. "How do you remember?" Wesley was a creature of habit. She loved routine. But 5 years is a long time to remember something that little. Her heart was so full.

"You are not a forgettable person, Wes. I have longed to wake up to you and make your coffee."

Not wanting to kill the mood, Wesley carefully said her next words.

"So," she hesitated. "Should we talk about that?"

Without missing a beat, Fletch put the coffee cup down and went back over to Wesley.

"We should," Fletch said. "I want to know your feelings if you are willing to share them with me."

Wesley hasn't felt this good in a long time. She wanted to be with Fletch. It didn't just take sleeping with her again to know that. These past five years have been filled with nothing but the thought of Fletch. She wanted to rebuild what they had, but this time leave out the heartache.

Wesley wrapped her arms back around Fletch's neck and stood on her tiptoes.

"I feel amazing and happy. I feel content with everything. With coming here. With seeing you. With touching you. With spending these past couple days here, alone with you. I have not felt this good in a very long time. I just am scared of the end of it."

"I am very happy to hear those things, Wes. The thing I didn't like was the end. I don't know exactly how you feel about it, but I would like to start over and build something better than what we had."

Wesley smiled. "I really like that idea." She said kissing Fletch.

Fletch handed Wesley the coffee. "Here you go."

"Thank you."

The two sat and talked at the kitchen table for a little while. Wesley was amazed at all of Fletch's accomplishments. She could see bits and pieces of the Fletch she use to know, but sitting there taking in everything the woman says shows a whole new person to Wesley. It was like meeting her for the first time – she wants everything with her.
