Heavy raindrops continued to pour endlessly on the now-wet roads and streets, increasing Sakura's annoyance. She was already late for work yet there was no available taxi for her to ride on.
Gripping tighter on her umbrella, she tapped her foot impatiently while glancing on her wristwatch. Just then, an unfamiliar silver sports car stopped in front of the pinkette. The car window moved down, revealing a professional, business man.
"Looks like you're in a hurry." He stated.
The emerald-eyed lady gave a plain nod, "It's nice to see you again, Shikamaru."

"Ino-chan! A customer called earlier. She wanted to know if her order is ready," Azri, Ino's assistant, explained as she placed down a log book on the blonde's desk.
"Tell her I'll be delivering the flowers next week." The Yamanaka responded without even sparing the helper a glance.
Azri scratched her hair, sighing. "But she wants to have it tomorrow. She told me that it was for an exhibit at her company."
Ino groaned in defeat, opening her log book (a list of her customers and their orders). She asked her assistant about the client, and the details of her orders.
After a while, there was nothing but silence inside the flower shop. And Azri noticed this very well. What actually surprises her is the fact that Ino was purely quiet today. The platinum blonde also looked unhappy, which increased Azri's curiosity towards her boss.
"You're not yourself today, Ino-chan." The helper stated, making Ino flinch in her location.
"Is there something bothering you?" Azri questioned gently, hoping for an honest reply.
However, instead of receiving an answer, the blonde just gave a small smile and resumed her work.
For the second time, Azri sighed. It's because of him again. She thought in silence, not wanting to bring up the particular subject.

"How have you been?" Shikamaru Nara asked in his natural tone, driving towards the Uchiha Corp.
The pink-headed woman shrugged, "The usual. Been working. I'm okay though."
"I see," He nodded. "I heard the news. Congratulations, it was your dream to have Sasuke ever since we were in middle school."
Sakura stayed silent and shrugged for the second time.
"Well how about you?" She inquired, "Was it fun breaking Ino's heart?"
Shikamaru's forehead creased a bit because of that question, however he did not respond.
"... She loved you, Shikamaru." Sakura added. "So much."
The male stopped his car in front of the company, but he stopped her from stepping out of the car.
Averting his eyes on the pinkette, he answered. "She knew that we aren't for each other."
"Yeah, but she also knew that you could fight for her. But you never did, right?" She responded fast, as she opened the door. Afterwards, she slammed it and headed inside the corporation.
Shikamaru sighed in frustration after hearing Sakura's reply.

Five hours of work didn't make Sakura waver at all. She did not take any breaks, and all she did was stare at her computer while typing some documents and searching.
Her workmates would have been shocked by her routine, but lately, she has always been doing this.
"Sakura, would you like some coffee or-"
"I'm fine."
"I think you should take a break-"
"No need."
"But you're-"
"Please, just let me do my work."
Yumi zipped her mouth after hearing the emerald-eyed woman's reply.
"By the way, Sakura." This time, Tenten was the one who approached her. "Itachi-san went here earlier before you arrived."
At this point, the pinkette stopped typing but her eyes were still focused on the computer screen. Nevertheless, Tenten and Yumi knew that she was listening carefully.
"And he said that Sasuke will still be out." The brunette finished.
Out.
It was unexpected but, a month has passed ever since Sasuke gave Sakura a ring and took her somewhere. That month was full of happiness, bliss, and love. However, another month cameby and things started to change.. somehow.
Sasuke was no longer in his office, he was most likely absent everyday. Sakura always sent some text messages to him, but he did not reply. She tried going to his house but he was not there. She also checked his condominium but no avail, he couldn't be seen.
He didn't even tell her where he's going- and that hurt Sakura so much.
And these recent days, Itachi announced that Sasuke is safe and is still here in Japan, but he's working on a big project so he can't go to the company.
It relieved the employees, except Sakura. Because if that was true, he would have at least called her and told her that.
She was slowly losing hope, every time a day passes by. It broke her heart that the man she loves disappeared without even informing her where he's off to.
Every single day, she wished that she would receive a simple text message from the Uchiha.
But that day never came.
