The rest of the day became worse for Sakura.

Despite having a heated argument with Tenten, she still stubbornly wanted to speak to the Uchiha. She believed that whatever his reasons as to why he "chose" Karin, it was still better hearing a painful explanation from him instead of having regrets of not asking him.

But she didn't really get the chance to talk to him.

Karin was always inside his office and who knows what they're doing or talking about. She would occassionally go out to return to her desk but whenever Sakura would aim to go inside, it's either a client or a business partner would enter. She wanted to have a conversation between themselves only and that opportunity didn't really come.

Sakura couldn't work properly, that's a fact. The corner of her eyes would always heat up while unintentionally reminiscing the scene earlier. And apparently, she was getting fueled with anger just by looking at the red-haired Uzumaki. Luckily, Sasuke didn't come out of his office the whole day and if he did, maybe Sakura didn't notice because she tried to avert her attention to her tasks. If she did see him, she would have cried again.

"Alright, I'll be there in ten minutes." The pinkette heard Tenten say over the phone. The latter cussed silently in frustration as she placed her phone inside her bag and took out a cream-colored coat.

"Yumi!" Tenten called out while several people entered the elevator to exit the company. "Please tell Sasuke that I'm leaving early today. This is urgent." It was already five-thirty and Tenten was supposed to leave at six, mainly because they had different schedules.

"I'll tell him. Is everything okay?" Yumi asked in a concered tone despite realizing Tenten's lack of respect--technically, she didn't call Sasuke as "sir" or "boss" like she used to. Not that it surprised Yumi. Obviously, the brunette lost all her respect for him.

The brown-headed girl nodded silently as she quickly wore her coat. Her dark colored eyes suddenly fell on Sakura who only stared at her in response. The latter had a blank face; for the first time, she was hard to read.

"Sakura." Tenten softly uttered while gazing at the pinkette with pitiful eyes.

"Hm?"

Although reluctantly, she inquired after picking the correct words, "Will you be... okay?"

Sakura swallowed a shaky breath and forced out a smile even if she refused to curve her lips up. "I'll be fine. I'm okay, Tenten."

It was then when the brunette realized that she, like most people, loved listening to lies despite having the truth revealed. How can Sakura be okay? It hasn't even been a day.

Knowing this, it was proven that Sakura Haruno really is a strong woman. Even with a difficult situation like this, she can still hold her tears back. And even if it's fake, she could still smile...

"I need to go... I'll see you tomorrow?" With an encouraging smile, Tenten gave a light pat on the pink-haired lady's shoulder.

"Yeah."

Besides, there was only thirty minutes left to work. After that, she can go home and cry all night if she wants. There was still a wall between work and personal life.

A few minutes passed when Sakura rubbed her eyes and decided to go to the comfort room.

And the moment she opened the door, it revealed a woman with red hair in an office attire.

Her eyes easily averted to the pinkette and almost immediately, a smirk was painted on her face. "Hey."

This felt familiar. They once talked inside here before, and similar to now, there were also nobody inside the cubicles. Just them.
