The Death Eaters surged towards Y/N and Harry as their barrage of stunning spells flew into the crowd. Y/N watched one of them make contact, whether his or Harry's he didn't know. Nor was he given time to check who, as the return fire soared towards them.
Y/N hit the floor and rolled sideways behind a gravestone, watching as several chunks were smashed out of it. Harry, meanwhile, dashed the other way just as Voldemort yelled.
'Leave Potter to me! Kill L/N!'
This suited Y/N fine. Not so much the Harry versus Voldemort part, but he at least figured those two seemed to have some form of connection. Keeping Voldemort off was paramount right now. Y/N sent an illusion sprinting left out from behind the gravestone as he ran straight across, back up towards the church from the incline he'd descended.
The Death Eaters took the bait and turned their wands onto the duplicate. Y/N took the opportunity to make more.
Next second, a rain of spells from the now ten Y/N's standing atop the hill peppered into the mass of people. This caused enough panic with people attempting to dodge and place up shield charms that they didn't notice the spells were simply passing through them.
The real Y/N meanwhile ducked in and out of the trees sending stunning spells and body bind curses into the mass of Death Eaters.
Behind the Death Eaters, he could see Voldemort advancing on Harry. He had to finish up here quickly, Harry needed his help.
But just as he thought this, he froze, staring at the two wizards and so did the other Death Eaters, all whirring around.
Harry had leapt out at Voldemort and cast Expelliarmus. Just as he had, Voldemort had shrieked out and sent the jet of green light straight at Harry. The two spells collided. But instead of ricocheting off or contesting, they seemed to combine. A now, a deep thread of gold connected the ends of the two wands.
Next moment and both of them seemed to begin hovering, floating slowly away from the ground.
Y/N wrenched his eyes away from that spectacle. The Death Eaters were distracted, it was his turn to take advantage. He scanned the shapes of people quickly and found the two he wanted. Next second, Lucius bellowed in pain as his robes split and a long gash appeared in his back, bleeding heavily.
Avery's yell followed shortly after as the jet of red light hit him square in the back and he collapsed forward.
Only three or four of the Death Eaters managed to react in a timely manner and sent an array of spells back up the hill towards Y/N. But his shield charm repelled them easily. He'd spent all year fighting wizards at twice their level. This was child's play.
He sent another illusion sprinting down the hill towards the Death Eaters as he once more began circling around, firing disarming and stunning spells at those who weren't paying attention.
Y/N had easily despatched around a quarter of the gathered people at this point, but all he needed was a break, a gap in their line. He needed the Triwizard cup. And ideally for Harry to stop levitating.
He chanced another look up at the floating duo, just in time to see thousands of other smaller threads split off from the main beam, criss-crossing and interlocking around them to perform a giant golden web. He didn't even want to try and figure out what spell that was.
'KILL Y/N!' shrieked Voldemort, and there was fear laced in the voice now. Even he didn't know what was happening. 'LEAVE POTTER TO ME!'
Y/N turned his eyes back on the throng of Death Eaters. His illusions were working but it wouldn't be an advantage for long. Especially as the jets of green light came soaring towards him. Snow was most likely still amongst the conscious as well, he'd no doubt know how to spot or de-spell them. Assuming he was even fighting. It was hard to tell. It was just a lot of black robes and skull masks.
