The next evening came swiftly, I had spent the day doing my washing and tidying up, trying to keep busy and take my mind off of the very thing that was happening right now.

I was driving towards the diner where I would meet Jax.
I wanted to get there earlier so I could watch him arrive and make sure he was alone. My stomach was in knots, I hadn't felt like this in a long time.
For the last two years my life had been very predictable. I got the job, I saw it through and I went home. I was a ghost, solitary.
But now, I was being thrown back in to the past. I can't say it's what I wanted, however, I knew that it was needed. I couldn't let this go, couldn't stand back and watch it unfold. I had to be in the thick of it, there was no other choice.

I parked on the opposite side to the diner and waited, I had chosen a spot with a good view of where I expected Jax to approach from. Luckily for me Harley's are definitely not the quietest of bikes so there would no mistaking if he came with an entourage. Not only would I see them from here, I would hear them.

I watched and waited. Seeing patrons come and go and playing my own game of spot the dealers or the shady business meetings. It wasn't long before I heard the unmistakable rumble of a Harley.

Jax pulled in and got off his bike, looking around before heading inside the diner. I sat and waited a little longer.
No other bikes seemed to be approaching but a car did. It pulled up a little way in front of me. It caught my attention because it reminded me of me on the hunt. A man sat in the drivers seat, doing too much to try and blend in and not be noticed. Maybe to an untrained eye he would be good, but I knew every move he was making. It made me wonder whether I was so blatantly obvious to other people in the know.

I pulled my phone out and snapped a quick picture of him. I would need to know who this person was. He was following Jax for a reason and I had a feeling he was a hit hunter. I would need to play this meeting in a different way and that annoyed me but I was flexible, I would adjust, just like I have had to on plenty of other jobs when it didn't go as expected.

I looked down at my clothes, trying to figure out how I could adjust my appearance to appear more crow-eater like.

I adjusted my bra straps tighter so they squeezed my breasts together, using my knife I made a vertical slit at the scooped neckline of my fitted black T-shirt so that it showed my cleavage. My black jeans were tight and high waisted and I had a pair of block healed, lace up ankle boots on my feet. Scrunching the curls in my hair then applying a slick of dark maroon lipstick I casually exited my car and sauntered over to the diner.

I was fully aware that I was being watched and I quiet enjoyed this game I was playing, I felt a rush of excitement at the knowledge that I knew they were there and they didn't no who I was.

I entered the diner and Jax had his back to me. Making my way through the tables I ran my hand across his shoulders as I came around him to take the seat opposite, grinning at him I immediately lent forward giving him an eyeful of my cleavage and stroking the back of his hand.

He stared at me wide eyed.

"Don't react Jax." I spoke quietly while still smiling widely at him. "Your being watched, so I am playing the part of whore right now. I have information that you need to hear but now I don't think it's safe to do so right here."

Jax understood the assignment and leaned in close to me, matching my smile. He picked up my hands and placed a kiss on one of them as I proceeded to talk to him.

"In a moment I'm going to get up, I want you to follow me. We are going to go in the back room over there." I gestured with my head.

"Whatever you say darling." Jax replied.

I winked at him and gave him a suggestive look, taking his hand as I stood to lead him towards the back room. Jax looked every bit the man about to get some. I was rather impressed by his own ability to adapt to the situation.

As the door closed behind us, it was very apparent that we both had maybe committed to our storyline a bit too much.  Our eyes met and in an instant our lips followed. He herded me into the corner of the room where two work surfaces met and lifted me up on to it, I desperately tried to keep on track with my thoughts and spoke in a hushed whisper through pants as Jax kissed my neck.

"Jax, Jax listen to me..........this is important."

He hummed a response but carried on so I continued.

"Jackson, there's a hit out on you, Happy and Tig."

He stopped then, pulling back to look at ne.

"How you know that?" He asked.

"Coz the contract came to me." I replied.

He looked perplexed for a moment and took a step back.

"What do you mean it came to you?"

I took a breath, looking at the floor a moment before meeting his eyes again.

"It's what I do, hit contracts come to me and I make the hit. Obviously, I wasn't going to make this one. But I may not have been the only one contacted. There's a man parked outside, might be one of them, I don't know for sure, so don't do anything reckless."

"So what do we do?" He asked.

"Just give me a bit of time, I'll find out. Have you pissed anyone off lately, anyone that might want you dead?"

"I can think of a few off the top of my head." He said a tad sheepishly.

"I'm gonna need a list in that case." I smiled.

"You need to be careful Jax, don't trust anyone new, anyone who just started hanging around the clubhouse, new customers at the garage, be suspicious of everyone....you're going to need to tell everyone else but please, keep where the information has come from between us. Just for now, let me do what I do and when we're clear, maybe, maybe we can have that family reunion." I smiled as I said the last bit.

"I have questions Freya." Was all he said.

"And I get that." I replied. "You have my number, if you need anything, call me. All I'm asking is that you don't tell anyone else that your in contact with me."

"I want to know the minute you find out who put the hit out." He bartered.

"Of course." I replied with a nod.

He stepped towards me again.

"You look good Freya, but I can still see the bruises your hiding under that make up."

My fingers unconsciously found their way to my cheekbone and I gave a tight smile.

"Ah well, every job has its downsides."

Before he could turn to leave, I reached down and undid his belt and fly.

"Do those up once you leave, and make it believable" I said with a wink.
