Iraia's POV
I was humming a song while walking around the campus when I saw Dux. I quickly look at my face in my purse mirror before running towards Dux.
Dapat magmukhang maganda ang future girlfriend niya.
Mabilis ko siyang nahabol at humarap sa kanya. Nakita kong natigilan siya sa biglaang pagsulpot ko. He knotted his brows while looking at me.
Ngumiti ako ng matamis sa kanya at inipit ang ilang hibla ng buhok ko sa likod ng tenga ko.
"Saan tayo pupunta?" malambing na sabi ko sa kanya.
"Walang tayo. And could you stop pestering me? You looked like a pick me girl who wants my attention." he said in disgust while crossing his arms.
Natigilan ako sa sinabi niya bago sinamaan siya ng tingin. Mukhang natigilan siya sa ginawa ko kaya napaayos siya ng tayo at lumunok.
Kinuyom ko ng mahigpit ang kamao ko. I scoffed at him.
"What? Ganun ba talaga pagtingin mo sa'kin? Hindi ko alam na ganyan ang tingin mo sa akin." mariin na sabi ko bago ko siya nilagpasan. I was fumming mad at him.
Ganun pala tingin niya saakin?! Desperada sa atensyon niya?! Kung ipalunok ko kaya sa kanya ang atensyon niya?!
I was cursing Dux inside my head when suddenly may taong bigla akong inakbayan. I looked up to see Caleb smiling at me.
"Hi!" he greeted me and I just smiled. I was about to greet him back when I saw Athalia walking towards us and glaring at Caleb.
Biglang bumitaw sa'kin si Caleb at napaayos ng tayo.
"You jerk, pati kaibigan ko pinupunterya mo?! " malakas na sigaw niya kay Caleb.
"Hey-" hindi na nakapagsalita si Caleb ng bigla siyang sinuntok ni Athalia sa tiyan bago padabog na naglakad paalis.
"Athalia bbluvs ko, shit, wait!!" malakas na sigaw niya habang paika-ikang sinundan si Athalia na parang aso.
"I didn't cheat, wait baby Athalia ko!" I can still hear his shout ang groans as the other student looked at him weirdly.
I was laughing at his actions. Under siya ni Athalia!
Napalingon ako nang may humawak sa kamay ko at kinaladkad ako palabas ng campus. Napatingin ako kay Dux na nakakunot ang noo at mahigpit ang pagkakahawak ng kanyang mga kamay sa aking maliliit na braso. He was gripping it tightly and it kinda hurts.
Suddenly memories flashed back in my mind kaya mabilis akong napahawak sa ulo ko at mariing napapikit.
"Mommy it hurts po! Bitiwan mo po ako!" naiiyak na sambit ko habang kinakaladkad niya ako pababa ng hagdan.
"Masasaktan ka talaga kung hindi mo bibilisan bumababa. Ikaw talaga napakatigas ng ulo mo! I already told you not to mess up your room at hindi mo ako sinunod!" malakas na sigaw niya.
My small feet started aching while stepping down the big stairs.
"I was just playing po since you forbid me to play with Amaris and Athalia po!"
"Aba't sumasagot pa!" I cried harder when she slapped me dahilan para mamali ako ng pagapak sa hagdan. I felt my small body rolling down the stairs.
"Iraia!!"
"Iraia?!" I felt Dux's arms on both of my shoulders. I opened my eyes and saw his corncern eyes.
"Hey why are you holding your head and crying?" he asked in concern but before I could answer I felt my body collapsed and arms wrapping around my body and everything went blank.
I opened my eyes to see a while ceiling.
Nasa langit na ba ako?
Agad akong napabalikwas ng bangon. Hindi pa pwede! Hindi ko pa napapangasawa si Dux!
"Hey, careful," napabaling ako ng magsalita si Dad sa tabi ko.
"Dux said you passed out in the field. Umiiyak ka daw habang nakapikit at humahawak sa ulo mo, did you had a panic attack?" he asked in concern. Mahina akong tumango bago pumasok ang isang psychologist.
"Dr. Bautista." Dad greeted him and he nodded while looking at me.
"Don't worry Mr. Reyes, ako na bahala sa unica ija mo," Dad looked at me first before nodding and went outside the room, leaving me behind with my psychiatrist.
"So did your memories suddenly flashed back?" he asked and I nodded.
"Do you always take your vitamins? Do you remember everything?"
"H-hindi pa po. Unti-unti kapag na-trigger sa parehong kaganapan," he nodded and smiled.
"It's an improvement. Sooner or later maalala mo na din ang lahat, pero magingat ka,baka maaaring magkaroon ng isa pang panic attack at mas ma-trigger ang utak mo, magkaroon ng malubhang komplikasyon. Don't forget to take your vitamins, it helps you calm down your brain,"
"By the time you remember everything, just breath and don't let it haunt you. Face your fears Iraia, it's the only way to move on from it. You can't be trapped in your past trauma and live with it, learn to accept it and move on for a new tomorrow. We are here to help you," he smiled at me before going out.
I heard Dad thanked him at pumasok sa loob. "Are you okay sweetie?" he asked at tumango ako.
"How did you know Dux, Dad?"
"Honey, his Dad is one of our biggest investors and we are close too," makes sense.
"Don't blame Dux if he triggered your memory. Wala siyang alam ija," he said while caressing my back.
I know. There is no one to blame here but her.
