Dux's POV

What the hell?

Did she just fucking confessed about her feelings? Is she being so true or just pure sarcasm?

"Be sure with your feelings before you spit nonsense confession." I rejected her on the spot.

Tangina naman, mukha bang laro ang pag-ibig sa babaeng 'to?

I saw her crossing the road staring blankly at hindi namalayan ang paparating na sasakyan.

Agad ko siyang tinabing upang hindi mahagip ng kotse. I looked at her shocked face.

I slightly scolded her for being stupid. For god's sake, it's a fucking highway, why would she cross the road nang wala sa sarili? Magpapakamatay ba siya?

Mas nakakapagtaka pa kung bakit ko siya sinagip. Concern ba ako sa kanya?

Ulol, hindi.

One time after our training she gave me a water bottle. She was smiling widely na parang mas naeexcite pa siya na inumin ko 'yung bigay niyang tubig kaysa sa concern na pagod ako sa training.

I just accepted it at nilagpasan siya. Bubuksan ko na sana ang bigay niyang tubig nang maalala 'yung pag amin niya.

Napakunot ang noo. Hindi ba't parang binibigyan ko siya ng pahintulot na mas magkagusto sa akin? Eh gusto ko na siya umalis kakakulit sa'kin.

I gulp and tighten the grip of the bottle bago tinapon sa basurahan.

I am just giving her mixed signals. Napailing ako bago umalis.

Napatigil ako sa paglalakad. Bakit pakiramdam ko nakonsensya ako sa ginawa ko? Sayang naman ang effort niya na bigyan ako ng tubig.

I turned my pace to get the bottle back but stopped when I saw her looking down at it. I gulp as I feel my rapid heartbeats while looking at her teary eyes.

"Iraia..." I tried calling her attention but she just ran away.

Napabuntong hininga ako. Did I just fucked up?

That whole night the image of her, staring at the trashcan where the bottle was thrown and her teary eyes kept bugging me.

I just sent her a friend request to say sorry about what happened but turned out to be a disaster.

Concern my ass. Hindi 'no. Iniisip ko lang na baka naoofend siya eh kaso mukhang hindi naman.

I just told her a lame excuse na napindot ko lang 'yung add button.

I flinched when he held my arm.

"Maglulunch kana? Sabay na tayo?" nakangiting pag-aaya niya.

"No. Quit bothering me." malamig na sabi ko sa kanya.

When will she stop bothering me? It's annoying.

When I walked out of the gate, I saw kids na namamalimos. Some students and civilians just ignored them. They were holding their stomachs very tightly.

Agad ko na kinuha ang pagkaing nasa bag ko. I don't have an appetite to eat lunch kaya ibibigay ko nalang sa kanila.

I bent down a little to give them the food.

"Thank you po kuya!" they smiled at me.

Napangiti ako sa kanila. I like helping anyone in need, especially kids.

I stood up to fix my posture when I smelled a sweet candy scent behind me.

Her signature scent.

"You like kids?" tanong niya.
