Dux's POV

Napatitig lang ako sa papalayong sasakyan nila.

I just stood there like an idiot.

I could feel my heart beating with an unexplainable feeling. Sobrang bigat na para bang may nawala sa akin.

As if part of me was torn away.

"I'll drive, get in." Cloe insisted after the long silence.

Tahimik kami buong byahe papunta sa bahay. I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling.

Why do I feel like I've betrayed Iraia big time. My heart feels heavy with an unexplainable feeling.

I tried erasing any thoughts but the scene when Iraia looked at me with so much pain kept on bugging me the whole night.

On the following weeks, I focused on the following exams. Iraia seems to avoid my presence so I just avoided her para hindi na siya mahirapan na iwasan ako.

Even if it hurt me, sinusubukan ko na iwasan si Iraia para hindi na siya mahirapan pa kakaiwas sa akin.

Halata naman na ayaw niya ako, and it's good. Wala nang mangungulit sa akin, wala nang maingay, I could enjoy my quality time without her bugging me all the time.

Pero bakit nanghihinayang ako? Bakit masakit?

I just accompanied Cloe since she doesn't have any friends. She begged me to come with her every lunchtime, even though I often see Iraia glaring at us, I tried to avoid it.

When I heard she topped the exams, I was proud of her. I saw how she worked hard and studied nonstop just to get that achievement.

I often caught her in the library with many books and notes, studying.

One time I caught her sleeping in the library, she looked stressed out. I quietly approached her as she sleep peacefully.

I looked at her closely. Leaning closer.

It's been a long time since we talked. But I must admit I missed her presence, I miss her.

I stared at her as she smiled widely with her friends. She deserved it.

Napaiwas ako ng tingin nang lumingon siya sa akin.

Shit, she almost caught me staring.

After weeks, I was busy putting my things into the locker when I heard the other players whispering something.

"Damn that Iraia, she looked fuckable."

"Ang ganda niya lalo na ang mga labi, shit sarap siguro nun halikan!"

"Nakita ko siya noon, naka shorts ng maikli grabe ang kinis ng leegs!"

"Siguro masa-"

Napatigil sila nang hinampas ko ang upuan na malapit sa kanila.

Mabilis ko na kinewelyohan ang isa sa kanila.

"Fuck you. I'll get you out of the team in an instant." mariing sabi ko habang nanlilisik ang mga mata.

"Dude were just joking-" he defended but I punched him directly in the face.

Someone tried to punch me but I quickly managed to dogged it. I held his arm and twist it backwards hearing him groaned in pain at marahas na tinulak.

Pinagpagan ko ang sarili ko at inayos ang damit. I looked at them darkly glaring.

"I'll make sure to expell all of you and report this shit to the principal. You fuckers prepare to live in hell." I told them and left.

Paglabas ko, nagulat ako nang makita si Iraia na nakasandal sa wall.
