Taylor
After Joe dropped me off that day me and Abby found an apartment and are moving into it right now. We were getting our stuff in when two cars pulled up making me look at it weird then I realize it's Joe and Ja'Marr "Oh my god" I say and then look at Abby "What?" She asks then looks at the car and jaw drops "Is that.." she starts to ask and I nod walking over as Joe walks out of his car.
"Hello Miss Taylor" he says smiling "Hey whatcha guys doing here?" I ask giving him a hug "Well your coach told us you guys were moving into your apartment today so we figured we would come and help" he says hugging me back making me smile. I pull away slightly "You two are the best" I laugh as we walk over to our uhaul truck. We have already gotten most of the stuff it's just a lot of heavy stuff, which makes it great that them two are here to help.
Joe instantly starts helping I smile grabbing boxes and walk into the apartment seeing Abby looking at me with a look "What?" I ask and she shakes her head "How do you not see that Joe is falling for you girl?" she asks making me raise an eyebrow "He is not" I start then Joe and Ja'Marr walk in "Where should we put these?" Joe asks "Um those are dishes so just put them in the kitchen" I say and he nods and puts them on the counter and then they are already going out of the door making me turn to Abby.
"As I was saying, he is not falling for me he's just being nice" I say and she gives me a are you crazy look "Taylor, when it was solo auditions HE convinced the team to come and watch, he took us out to celebrate and even after you two slept together he is still sticking around, oh and he heard we were moving in and didn't even hesitate to come and help us" she says and she has good points. But none of that means Joe is into me. Does it?
We had to cut move in short because we had practice and afterwards Kara called me over. So I go over while the girls are leaving "Hey couch what's up?" I ask and she turns to me "Someone told me that you and a quarterback are getting comfortable?" she asks and I blush "We're just friends" I say and she gives me a look then looks at the window "You mean the guy who is standing at the window waiting for you and watched your entire rehearsal is just a friend?" she asks laughing and I look over seeing him smiling and then look at her laughing with her.
She shakes her head then looks at me "Just be careful ok? Because if this gets out to the public then it will become a lot ok?" she asks and I nod "Ok go ahead and be safe" I smile and walk to my back seeing Sophia call me making me smile more and answer "Girl when were you going to tell me you and Joe Burrow were fuck buddies" she asks taking me back "What do you mean?" I ask confused "Tay, you and Joe are all over the media saying you two are friends with benefits" she says making my eyes go wide.
I put her on speaker and then look and sure enough we are everywhere. I sigh "We're not friends with benefits he's just been helping me with stuff who told them..." I then realize "Stacey, Sophie I need to go ok? I love you we will talk later on" I say and then hang up grabbing my bag. If you're wondering what's Stacey doing now? She used her degree to become an Athletic Trainer for the team. I walk out and Joe walks up "Hey you" he says making me look at him "Um hi Joe" I say looking at him and his face changes.
"Everything ok? You're not hugging me like normal" he says. I sigh and look away then back at him "I think we should stay away from each other for a bit" I say making his face drop. I don't want this but we need to "What? W...why?" he asks so confused and I show him my phone "People are saying things and I know exactly who started this but for now we need to stay on the down low ok?" I ask and he sighs "But I want to be around you" he says being all cute "I know, we still can be around each other just not in the public eye ok?" I ask and he nods.
I hug him "I have to go deal with this" I say and then pull away slightly and noticing how close our faces are. He looks at my eyes then at my lips but then I remember where we are so I pull away "I'll call you" I say and walk to the trainer rooms. I walk into where Stacey is and she looks at me "Um hi Taylor" she says smirking. I scoff "Don't hi Taylor me, you know what you did" I say and she shrugs "Told you to stay away from Joe" she says "Seriously? All of this because you want Joe? What are you 13? This is middle school petty shit Stacey and you know it" I say.
She stands up walking to me "I want Joe, if you leave him alone then I'll stop" she says crossing her arms making me scoff "You can't handle the fact that Joe wants ME not YOU! There are how many other players to have! Get it through your head that he wants me and I want him ok?" I say finally admitting to myself and she just looks at me and sighs sitting down looking sad "Me and Joe did used to date.." she says looking at her hands. I nod for her to go on "And I messed everything up" she sniffles and I sigh sitting next to her "I cheated on him, can I tell you how much it killed me to see that I hurt him? I have wanted him to forgive me but I don't think it's happening" she says shaking her head.
I do feel bad "Well why don't you try and apologize to him I don't think it will make you guys get back together but you guys can at least become friends" I suggest and she nods looking at me. She shakes her head "Why are you so nice to me? I was horrible to you" she says and I laugh slightly "Well we are going to be around each other more so can't hold grudges" I say and she nods smiling "I'll tell the media that the story was fake" she says making me smile and stand up "Good" I say and walk out.
Did I really admit to liking Joe?
