【Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ １１】

-3:25 AM-

-YE-EUN'S PLACE-

Something, something kept tingling my head causing me to wakeup instantly.

Was it a bad dream? Who was that?

I fixed my posture and grabbed my phone to check the time. It was 3:27 am. I was about to go back to sleep when the sound continued. The sound of someone crying for help.
I looked at Ye-eun who was beside me. She was moving back and forth saying something. Her words were unclear.

"Ye-eun??"

I called out her name. No response. I tried tapping her shoulder. Still no response. She was facing the wall so I held her shoulders turning her around making her face me. Her face showed panic. She continued to mumble.

Is she having a nightmare?

I tried waking her up.

"Ye-eun? Ye-eunah? Are you okay?"

I asked kneeling down next to her bed.

"Sev mi- save-"

Save me? She really is having a nightmare.

I put my hand on her head gently carassing it.

"It's fine Ye-eun. You're safe right now"

She calmed down for a bit as I did that. She slid her hand through her hair trying to locate my palm. Once she did she held it tightly.
I just sat there for a while waiting for her to calm down totally. Suddenly a pair of hands pulled me into it's embrace.

Sh- she hugged me-

I was about to pull myself away when I noticed her sleeping peacefully hugging me.

I don't wanna pull myself away now-

"Are you okay now Eunah?"

I asked brushing her hair gently. She didn't reply which was a sign that she is deep asleep. I subconsciously smiled looking at her.
She didn't seem to leave my hand anytime soon. I just rested my head on the bed next to her while still sitting on the floor. I fell asleep right away.

The sun shined brightly on my face causing me to wakeup. I sat up on the bed and stretched my arms a bit. I looked down to see if Jake was awake.
He wasn't there.
The bedsheets were neatly folded and kept in the corner with the pillows on top of it. I came out of my room to find him. He was no where to be found.

"Awake finally?"

My mom asked from the kitchen while cooking breakfast.

"Where's Jake?"

I asked her.

"That's the first thing you're gonna ask as soon as you wakeup?"

She giggled. I stood silent for a while.

"He left early in the morning"

She added.

Why did he leave without telling me. He could've woken me up atleast.

"He tried waking you up but you didn't. He gave up and left"

She continued.

"You know mom? I sometimes wonder if you got some kind of telepathic powers or some. Like how?!"

"I am your mother darling"

She giggled serving me breakfast. It was ramen. I took out a pair of chopsticks from the cabinet and started eating the ramen while scrolling through social media.
I got a notification. It was from Jake.
