【Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ １７】

-4 DAYS LATER-

It's been four days since the bullying incident. Four days since I got told about Nara's true intentions.

The bullies got suspended for a week after they tried bullying a 10th grader to seek vengeance.

The 10th grader's friend was smart enough to report the incident to the homeroom teacher before things could take an unfortunate turn.

And about the Chemistry project. Me and Jake got the highest marks and were appreciated by the teacher and the whole class. Turns out the number of students who actually found the two chemicals were very less compared to the numbers who didn't find them.

Sunghoon was one of them. He went solo to keep his cool after me and Jake partnered up but that didn't end well. He would've burnt the whole school down if not for Geum Yoona, the class topper.

She was working beside him and was right on time in stopping him from mixing two inflammable chemicals.

He was teased for it a lot.

I had been ignoring Nara for these four days. I unfollowed her and blocked her on Insta and Talky. The only way she could talk to me now is through our School group chat but it's not private so I doubt she might do that.

"So now when we substitute 'x' with the number we got, we get the answer"

The teacher said doing that certain sum on the black board. The students cheered in happiness as they had finally found the solution to that sum.

The teacher wrote another sum on the board after finding the solution for the previous sum.

Every student in the class immediately started writing on their notebooks proceeding to do the sum.

But I was distracted by something. By someone.

I was distracted by Jake. I fell deeper in love with him after that incident.
My feelings grew deeper, becoming a part of me. Furthermore, I gained a little bit of courage to confess, though I haven't done it yet.

Should I ask him out today-?

A little spark in me encouraged me to ask him out but a huge part of me was against it.

It's either now or never.

I tore a piece of paper from my rough note and wrote him a note.

'Meet me at....our place, after school today.'

I built up my confidence before turning around to give Sunghoon the paper asking him to pass it on to Jake.

But to my surprise, Sunghoon was already facing me, with a small piece of paper in his hand. His other hand was lifted out, about to call me?

"Ah perfect, I was about to give it to you anyways, it's from Jake"

He whispered before handing the piece of paper over to me. I did the same by asking him to pass it on to Jake.

I eagerly opened the letter and read it trying my best to keep it hidden.

'Did you get the answer to this sum..?? I can't think of a solution, this one's really hard. Anyways, that wasn't the reason I sent you this note. I wanna tell you something... it's important. Can you meet me at....our place? After school'

I was shocked at how our thoughts said the same. I turned around looking at him.
He smiled looking back at me before he hung his head low doing the same.
