𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗨𝗘

Four weeks had passed since the incidents. Ye-eun showed signs of improvement by finally accepting food, but still didn't find the courage to leave her room. She had been stalking her school account. She noticed that the rumour slowly died down. That made her happy but still the damage it made was permanent. She continued her education online like she used to.

Jake tried approaching her many times but she showed no interest in talking. Her body grew weak from the constant worry and lack of food consumption. She'd feel dizzy at times.

Her former bullies started going back to school. They kind of felt guilty for the way they treated Ye-eun over a fake rumour. It was revealed that the rumour was fake after Jake made an anonymous post stating so. Choi Riwon reported this incident to the principal that gave all of them a black mark in their records, with Nara gaining two. All the hate went towards Nara as the news spread. Nara was met with the same fate as Ye-eun but less rash.

Ye-eun hadn't heard about Sunghoon in the past days. He had blocked her on all social media platforms. It was like his identity completely disappeared from the city.
He even left the School Group to which Ye-eun made an assumption that he changed schools. But where?

-A MONTH LATER-

I paid her, yet another visit. I rang the door bell waiting for someone to open the door. Her mom did asap. She let me in before she greeted me with a hug.

"Can I meet Ye-eun?"

I pursued my lips waiting for her to permit me to. She sighed.

"Jake..you need not ask me this every time you come over you know? You'd always have my permission to visit Ye-eun. It's up to her"

I smiled before walking my way up the stairs to her room. I gently knocked on her room in my usual pattern.

"Ye-eun..?"

I called out. To my surprise, the door finally opened. I froze on the spot, gripping the bouquet I brought for her tightly.

"Come in.."

A soft voice called me in and I got into the room. There stood Ye-eun, wearing an oversized hoodie with her head buried deep in the hood and her hands gripping on to the door handle.

"Oh Ye-eun"

I said in relief as I finally got to see her after a whole month. She closed the door, locking it.

"Here, I got this for you"

I handed her the bouquet. A small smile formed on the crook of her lips that made me happy.

"Take a seat"

She said as we both sat on her bed. She took off her hood revealing her face. I was quite concerned as her face seemed too pale. But I didn't wanna ask about it right away.
