Neteyams pov -

Ever since I had gotten beaten up that day, Aonung never left my side. It had been about two weeks since then, and I could finally walk short distances.

Sometimes, my knees would give out, but Aonung was always there for me. I was starting to worry for him. He wouldn't let me out of his cite.

The only time we were apart was when his parents told him to do stuff or at night when I slept because I finally got to go home.

But, one morning, I decided to go on a morning walk, only telling my sister Kiri to tell my parents when they woke up.

I knew Aonung would come looking for me, but I wasn't really too worried about him finding me that quickly.

The only worry I had was that the bullies would get me again. I couldn't run, I could only wall short distances with breaks in between.

I sat with my back against the rock on the far side of the beach as I watched the sun rise. The sky alluminated with a nice orange and blue color, as pandoras' beluminesant lights faded away.

Aonungs pov -

I woke up and quickly ate breakfast. I knew I had to be there for Neteyam. Well, I didn't have to, but I wanted to.

I don't know what this overwhelming feeling inside of me is, but I don't mind it. It makes my heart beat out of my chest when Neteyam is not safe, though.

So, I quickly dash off saying a quick thankyou to my mother for breakfast.

Eventually, I made it to Neteyams Hut and found that he was not there. "Hello, Aonung!" Kiri beamed with joy as she wrapped some sandwiches.

"Hey!" I said as I quickly ran up to her. She gave me a weird look. "Do you know where Neteyam is?" I questioned.

"Yeah, he went to watch the sunrise, and he hasn't come back yet." She smiled. "He is probably just chilling by a rock. You know he can't walk far."

I quickly say thank you and run to find him. My heart dropped. My mind emidiatly filled with the worst thoughts.

What if the bullies had gotten to him? What if he was hurt? What if-

I was cut out of my thoughts when I saw those beautiful eyes looking out onto the reef at the far side of the beach.

Neteyams pov -

I had been here for quite a while, lost in my thoughts. I had a mighty feeling in my heart that didn't quite make sense to me.

I couldn't tell if it was good or bad. I couldn't tell if it was wrong or right. But I knew one thing. It was love.

I was knocked out of my thoughts when I saw Aonung quickly run up to me. Those once again beautiful ocean eyes stared into mine.

"Neteyam!" He sighs of relief. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He questioned frantically, checking me for any signs of a beating.

"No, you skxowng, I'm okay!" I giggled, grabbing his hand to stop it from moving so much. "I just was watching the sunrise."

He just smiles at me as he gently runs his hand through my braids once. "I'm sorry, I was just scared those bullies would get you.." He sighs.

"It is alright, I am okay.." I smiled at him.

"Alright, then let's go back so your family isn't worried that your legs gave out on your morning walk." He chuckles. I lightly smack him as I giggled.

No one's pov -

As the two walked back side by side, they couldn't help but recognize the comforting but tension filled air.

Neteyam only thought about the overwhelming feeling of love he had for the big next to him, still remembering the dreams he had in his coma.

Meanwhile, Aonung only thought about how to tell him parents he was gay and may be in love with someone from another clan...
