Explaining Things

Hello! Before I start this story I would just like to point out a couple things that will be incorporated into my story that I want to explain further that I would not be able to in my end of chapter authors note. This will probably be long, so you do not NEED to read it, but I think it will help some things make more sense, though some will be explained in future chapters.

1- First off I will be explaining a future character that is not mentioned in the casting list or in the intro, Daisy Hansen, she is the great-granddaughter of Gothi the Elder. I have written her to be the younger sister of Hiccup, now I know that people will be wondering how this is possible when Valka was taken when he was a baby, but they are not actually related, but are instead, 'adopted' siblings.
I had this thought recently that stuck with me, and that was that the reason the Hiccup doesn't have a Scottish accent like Stoick is because Stoick wasn't around enough when he was younger for his accent to stick to him. I think that he had been to focused on avenging Valka, to spend much time around him, being a big part to the strained relationship shown in the first movie.
I think that he was 'raised' by someone else, who cared for him in a ways that were needed as a child, that person being another OC of mine,  she is the grandchild of Gothi, and Daisy's mother. I think that she would have kept him fed on nights that Stoick did not come home, and showed him the love that a child would need at such a young age. Hiccup was around five when she was born, her being sixteen in the story, while Hiccup is 21.

2- I have this idea that back when Berk killed dragons, they would take the dragons teeth or talons and use them as a sort of trophy. So I cut it down to their first kill, such as when Anna mentions her Thunderdrum teeth, that was from her first kill, and they would carve their age into one, or all, of the things to display how early they had killed it. When Berk, and any other clan, stopped killing dragons they would use their shedded scales as armour or as an accessory, usually used as shoulder pads or somewhere on their arms.

3- I had a difficult time trying to figure out which character I wanted to use as a main, so I have decided to have them all sort of rotating, but the story is based around Blair. Anna is shown to be the antagonist. And Hazel will be a bit of a distant main character, she will be a very difficult character, who I haven't done much for as of right now, but want to have her be a very complex character.

Also, I love the whole plot around soulmate stories, so I wanted to incorporate it into this story, hence why the love interests to the character have the same dragon, it is sort of like a 'meant to be' type thing. It was the best I could think of without it being an actual soulmate story.

I will probably add more later as I remember more. Thank you so much for reading this if you did, I apologize for any ranting or repeated sentences I was writing as I thought of stuff so I wasn't re-reading it a bunch of times as I write. I have yet to decide on a writing schedule and probably won't have one to be honest, I think it would stress me out a bunch and I really only write at night, it is currently 1:45am as I am writing this, so please don't expect chapters super often, I will try to write as much as possible everyday though.

P.S. I am struggling on whether I should keep Mala in this story or not, as much as I love her and her character I am not sure if I should keep her in, or if I do if I should give her a seperate love interest. Also, I am working on a Mala x Dagur x Female poly story! So if anyone is interested in that it is in the works.
