Sometimes, she wondered why people said they wanted to be part of something as ancient and enigmatic as this. She suspects it is because they want to be part of something in some way, special. But, being a Half-Blood is not an easy task. Especially when you are the daughter of a goddess who is feared by the Olympians. Unfortunately for her, that happens to be Y/N's situation.

Y/N Eloise Dark. A 13-year-old demigod daughter of Nyx, the primordial goddess of night and darkness.

As her daughter, Y/N has gained the unjustified hatred of some gods.

Why? Well, it's a little bit simple.

It is commonly thought that Nyx is the only goddess that Zeus is truly afraid of because she is older and more powerful than him.

This traces back to one story in which Hera, Zeus' wife and goddess of marriage and childbirth, worked together with Hypnos, the god of sleep, to trick Zeus. Hera desired to plot against Zeus, and so she convinced Hypnos to put her husband to sleep. However, Hypnos was not powerful enough to incapacitate Zeus completely.

When Zeus realized what Hypnos did, he chased after him. Hypnos sought refuge in his mother's cave, allowing him to escape Zeus' wrath. Why didn't Zeus go after Hypnos into Nyx's cave? He was afraid of making Nyx angry.

In conclusion, if the gods barely have any kind of communication with their children, why would they care about Nyx's daughter when they can only end up having not only one but two powerful enemies? 

But that doesn't mean they aren't keeping an eye on her.

When she was a kid, her father talked to her about a place where people like her, demigods, could live a weird normal life. 

A place where she could be safe. 

Camp Halfblood.

Y/N has been hiding from monsters for a long time now, trying to get to that camp her father talked about, finding comfort only at night, when her mother covers the Earth with her starry veil of darkness. She feels like nothing can hurt her. Like her mother is with her even though she is far away from Y/N.
