Percy didn't want to do it but he found the perfect opportunity to tell Grover about his dream. Grover listened to the story cautiously but also distracted himself every once in a while to look down at the stairs or to make sure the Oracle was ok.

"Watch her head!" Grover warned.

Still, Percy made the mummy hit its head with the trapdoor frame. "Ah, man." Percy set the mummy down and checked for damage. "Did I break anything?"

"I can't tell."

They placed the Oracle back in its place. When they checked it was well placed, they decided to leave fast.

"Well, that was gross," Grover said once he shut the door to the attic.

Percy faked a smile and then looked down. He couldn't stop thinking about what the Oracle said in the forest, and what it showed them in the vision. "What will Chiron do?" Percy asked Grover.

"I wish I knew." He looked wistfully out of the second-floor window at the rolling hills covered in snow. "I want to be out there."

Percy stared at him puzzled, "Where?"

"I..." Grover sighed, "I was only thinking about something the manticore said, about the Great Stirring. I can't help but wonder... if all those ancient powers are waking up, maybe... Maybe not all of them are evil."

"You mean Pan."

Grover nodded slowly. "I've let the trail go cold," he said. "I feel restless like I'm missing something really important. He's out there somewhere. I can just feel it."

Before Percy could answer, or before Grover could ask Percy more about his dream, Thalia tromped up the stairs. She didn't look at Percy as she was still mad at him for their little fight and the fact they lost the game. Thalia stared at Grover, completely ignoring Percy, and said, "Tell Percy to get his butt downstairs."

"Why?" Percy asked.

"Did he say something?" Thalia asked Grover.

"Um, he asked why."

"Dionysus is calling a council of cabin leaders to discuss the prophecy," she said. "Unfortunately, that includes Percy."

Grover and Percy shared nervous glances and followed Thalia to where the meeting was taking place. The council was held around a ping-pong table in the rec room. Dionysus waved his hand and supplied snacks: Cheez Whiz, crackers and several bottles of red wine. Then Chiron reminded him that wine was against his restrictions and most of the campers were underage.
