When we went to the counter, I told them my plan and we came up with a strategy. They asked a lot of questions, but I managed to answer them all and they agreed with me in the end. Now I was explaining about HVE Gas to Dylan.

Dylan: - Let me get this straight. Your gas melts everything it touches and doesn't stop until there's a UV light source to dissipate it. And that obviously includes the sun.

Hannah: - Yeah. But the gas doesn't immediately dissipate. It takes a few seconds to stop burning.

Harry: - Nothing can stop it? Nothing at all? Not even water?

Hannah: - Nothing. Trust me. I've tried everything.

Meg: - Absolutely everything?

Hannah: - Everything that made sense.

Dylan: - Wait. If you said it melts things, how do you use it then? Doesn't it melt your clothes or your sword?

Hannah: - Not if I'm careful. I usually put some of the gas into a small GRE vial I found and attached to my sword. It was hard, but I managed to build a mechanism that shoots the gas in the direction I want it if I press a button.

Dylan: - If I'm not mistaken, you mentioned that it needs a recharge. How do you plan to use the gas on Red Corporation soldiers if it only hits one at a time?

Hannah: - It can spread among them if we get them all together. If a single particle of the gas touches the clothes or skin of all of them, they will be dead in seconds.

Harry: - It's our best and only move, Dylan. If we do everything Hannah tells us, we can make it.

Hannah: - If that's not enough, I want you guys to know that I've done something similar once. Some bandits tried to trick me into killing me, but the idiots were close to each other and I burned them whole when I had the chance. Most of the gas hit the first guy, some splatters of it hit the second, and small particles killed the third. It's as lethal as the zombie virus out there. The only difference is that the gas doesn't leave anything for those who come later.

Dylan: - Well... If all of that is true, we'll really make it. I just hope you know what you're doing.

Hannah: - Don't worry. I wouldn't have suggested it if I didn't. If this works out, we'll probably start doing this every time we need to steal supplies from the Red Corporation. I'll only use the gas on the soldiers we're sure we're going to kill. If one of them escapes and spreads this secret, the next soldiers we find may be better prepared and will use gear to contain the gas. They probably know I have a secret weapon, but they don't know exactly what it is.

Meg: - Makes sense.

Hannah: - Anyway. Now that I've done my part, it's time for you guys to keep your promise. What do you know about the Red Corporation?

>> A few minutes later >>

Dylan told me the whole story of the Red Corporation and started talking about my connection to it.

Hannah: - Ok. So you're telling me that I'm a guinea pig from a GRE testing laboratory and that I'm wanted by the Red Corporation. And what exactly is it? A group? A faction? A cult? An army? And if that's true, why have I never heard of it in every other survivor group I've ever been a part of? People often spread gossip to other groups.

Dylan: - It's not like everyone knows about it. Everyone knows who you are and what you do, but no one knows you're wanted. As much as those bastards from the Red Corporation and the GRE go around interrogating, mistreating anyone they find along the way and demanding information about you, they're the only ones who know you. I mean... They were. We weren't there when you were made a guinea pig in that laboratory or whatever. Besides, even though there were legends about you, no one here had seen your face other than me and Lynn. We had no way of knowing.
