While Luna was playing the game on her phone, I checked the time on my watch and realized that the party was about to start. Since I rested while we played, now I have enough energy to go.
Hannah: - Ok, Luna. We've played too much and the party is about to start. It's time to go.
Luna: - Alright. - She said as she exited the game and put the phone next to her on the bed. - I'm looking forward to seeing you there with us. You know the only reason for this party is you, right?
Hannah: - I do. And I appreciate that. - I said as I quickly ran my hand over her face. - But I wasn't the only one fighting for those supplies, so we'll all celebrate together. We deserve it.
Luna: - Yes. It's so good to see that we're going to have a good time together. I thought things like that didn't exist in the world anymore.
Hannah: - There isn't that much good news coming out of the world for people to celebrate often. With everything that happened and is still happening, there is no time left for anything other than trying to survive. What we're going to do happens once a year, but it may start happening more often from now on.
Luna: - We're very lucky to exist at the same time as you. And to have you here with us now. I never thought I would meet you one day.
Hannah: - That's very generous of you. But save those words for when we're at the party.
Luna: - Sure. You're gonna get a lot of compliments there, so it's best that you get them all at once. People will grab you and throw you up in the air as a celebration.
Hannah: - Geez, I hope not. I don't know how to handle compliments very well and I feel embarrassed when something like that happens.
Luna: - I know how it is. But you deserve it. We wanna see you happy just like us.
Hannah: - And I will be. When the time comes. - I said as I touched her face once more. - Now let's go. We better get going or we'll be late.
Luna: - Ok.
Then Luna got up from the bed and quickly put on her boots, shoving her legs into them without using her hands. As soon as I looked at my bed, I remembered that my weapons were under the blanket and had an idea.
Hannah: - Actually, you can go ahead. I'll meet you there.
Luna: - What? Why? You're not coming?
Hannah: - I have to do something now, but I'll be there in a little while.
When she heard that, Luna kept looking at me quietly and confused.
Hannah: - Hey, don't worry. I am going to the party. I have no reason not to. But I gotta do something first. It'll be quick.
Luna: - Alright. I need to change my clothes anyway, so I'm gonna look for mommy now. See you there.
Hannah: - Right. I'm looking forward to seeing what you're going to wear, so do your best. See you there, little girl.
Then Luna turned around and went to the door. As soon as she opened it, she looked at me one last time and waved. When I waved back, she left the room.
Being alone now, I got up from Luna's bed and went to my weapons. As soon as I took the blanket off them, I pulled a blue duffle bag that was nearby and put all the weapons inside it. Then I closed the bag and placed it next to the bed.
Hannah: - There. It hasn't changed much, but at least it's more hidden than before. And now I won't have to lie on the weapons to sleep. It's good to know that they're safe with me and that I can grab them really quickly in case of an emergency.
