I hear shuffling and mumbling coming from his table making me glance back to see him getting up and walking my way.
"oh shit" I can hear myself mumble loud enough to make my mom glance up.
"well.... well... well look at you" I hear the amusement in his voice. "you look like a million bucks" I feel myself blush making me look away trying to hide my face a little bit.
"Well don't be rude Willow introduce me to your friend" my mom's voice makes me sit up straight feeling embarrassed.
"Oh... right sorry Mom this is Pedro the friend I met at work the other day and Pedro this is my mother Marigold" She smiles with a look of recognition that reeks of self-importance.
"oh my, you're the Pedro Pascal?" He nods slightly "You were in the Game of Thrones a while back" I laugh at the sound of excitement in her voice. the sound of my laughter makes her glare at me for a while until Pedro spoke up clearly noticing my building anxiety.
"yes I am and yes I did... it's nice to meet you, Marigold..." Mom cut him off while lightly placing a hand on his arm. I can't help but stare at her hand with a slight scowl.
"Please... you can call me Mari there is no need to be so formal" I feel my jaw ticking slightly as I watch my mom. I don't really know why but her blatant flirting royally annoys me.
"if you insist Mari..." he glances at me and softly he smiled at me with a slight look of concern. I reassuringly smile at him before glancing at the women watching us from his table.
"well since I introduced you to my mother it's only fair you introduce me to your sister...plus it's rude to just leave her there alone don't ya think?" he smiles softly before waving his sister over.
"you are so right it was very rude of me for leaving my sister out" As she appears at his side I'm amazed at how pretty she looks up close. "Willow this is my younger sister Lux... Lux this is Willow and her mom Mari"
Lux smiles and waves. I talk with her for a bit until she goes back to their table to eat. I tell her I'd talk to her the next time I see her and Pedro says he'd be back at the table in a few to eat. My mom openly tries to flirt with him until the waiter comes back placing the check down and distracting her.
"you should probably get back to your table with your sister before she thinks you just" showed her up to come and flirt with my mom" his look of shock makes me laugh.
"And to think I came to try and complement you in the beginning I thought that was a good attempt at flirting" I smile at him as he speaks.
"oh really?" I feel my cheeks hurt a little from how much I'm smiling.
"oh yeah I couldn't help but compliment you on how beautiful you look tonight makes me wonder how nice you might dress when you go on a date" he stops for a moment realizing what he just said aloud. He seems about to apologize when I cut him off with a sudden surge of confidence I choose to speak up.
"well why don't you ask me on a date and find out" He looks at me shocked before a large gorgeous smile begins to grow on his face. "well I'll let you think on that idea because I have to go but you know how to find me so I'll be seeing you... do tell your sister I truly enjoyed meeting her" I slowly get up watching him watch me as he smiles.
"I'll see you soon belleza" his words are soft and I catch the tail end of it as I pass him. I smile over my shoulder as he begins to walk back to his table glancing at me and rubbing the back of his neck as he smiled and shakes his head softly.
"oh darn I didn't get to say goodbye to Pedro... oh well let's go I need a hot bath and a glass of wine before bed" I chuckle at my mom as we begin to walk out the door.
When we got home I was excited to get undressed and hop in the shower. The warm water let me zone out and think about what I just did and the possibilities of what could happen next.
By the time I got to bed, I was tired from thinking so when Fifer came and lay with me. I sat and petted Fifer as I told her of what happened before simply mumbling to myself.
"dinner was a real winner"
