A quiet sigh leaves me when I enter the room.
"Welcome." Gianna pulls me into a hug with a small smile on her face.
Morelia then stands in front of me when she pulls back. She is holding Alina in her arms, so she gives me a side hug.
"Good morning." She softly tells me, and Alina gives one of her big smiles. She's such a cute little girl.
"Good morning." I reply to both women and kind of to the five men in front of me.
I hate that both Ivanovs are accusing me of stealing which is the reason why I agreed to come over. They want to question me, and I am going to let them because I am innocent. It's obvious in the way I was completely clueless about this situation when it first got brought to my attention.
I was also informed that this is Gianna and Leonid's last day here before going on their honeymoon. I'm curious to know how this questioning is going to go.
Nikolai, one of the five men which I've recently met about a month or two ago, leads me to a chair where I calmly take a seat. Vladimir, the other man, offers me some sort of tea which I politely decline because I don't know what they might have put in it. I retract my thoughts when he shrugs and drinks it himself.
"Where were you on the night the jewelry got stolen?" He begins the questioning after taking a break from the tea.
I actually try to remember where I was on the day where it's said that the jewelry was supposedly stolen. "I don't remember but I'm sure it wasn't stealing."
I know for fact I wasn't stealing anything or else I would very clearly remember that.
"How do you not remember?" He asks now with a confused look on his face.
I only shrug. "Sorry, that I don't know what I was doing months ago on a random Monday." I fight the urge to roll my eyes.
"What did you do with the diamonds you recently stole on that big heist you put on?" Nikolai takes over the questioning.
"Kept it for a little bit and wore it around my house while looking at how good I looked with them on through the mirrors around-"
"That's not what I meant." He interrupts right when I was going to get to the part he wants to hear.
"I was getting there." I accidentally send him a small glare in defense, and he now avoids eye contact. He's kind of cute.
"I obviously sold them." I lie because no one can know of the actual plan I have for those diamonds.
"How? Where? Why?" Leonid suddenly questions standing right in front of me looking very desperate for answers.
"On the black market. It hurts me a little to let go of the beauties but it's my way of making money." It's how I manage to live in such an expensive townhouse in the city and to treat and take care of my brothers and myself.
