I finally knock on the door with nerves filling every inch of my body.
The door is opened in a few seconds which feel eternal to me. I am then met with the officer who isn't in his normal formal wear. Instead, he is shirtless with only grey sweatpants on and a gold chain with a cross on it around his neck. His hair is also wet which means he might have just gotten out of the shower.
This man has the body of a god. He's literal perfection and it was already obvious from the way his clothes fit him.
"Katya." The way my name sounds from him isn't making the situation any better.
I move my eyes to his and make sure to keep them there. "Sorry for coming over at this time and without informing you beforehand."
He shakes his head in a way that indicates that I shouldn't apologize. He then opens the door wider and motions for me to enter which I do.
"Take a seat. Would you like a beverage?" He stares at me, and I avoid looking at him because I really can't do it as much as I would like to.
"No, thank you." I quickly respond and with my answer he takes a seat beside me.
I feel his stare before I feel his hand softly grab my chin and he turns my head so that I am looking at him. He's so close.
"What can I help you with then, Ms. Markova?" Katya sounds better.
"I came to apologize for acting like a robot when you were at my house." My words come out a bit quiet because I can't concentrate with him being just inches away from me.
A small and faint smile slowly appears on his lips, and I stare. "You don't need to apologize about anything, Katya."
It's like he knows I like it better when he calls me by my name.
"I do what I do because it has become some sort of addiction. It distracts me from my life problems and in a messed-up way it also makes me feel close to my parents." I answer the question I had initially refused to give him the answer to.
The sudden feeling of his hands over mine causes me to look away from his pretty and dark eyes and down at our hands. His touch does something unexplainable to be and it's something that I really like. I feel a yearn to feel him all the time now. To have him with me every second of my life.
He squeezes my hands softly and I look back up at his face. He hasn't taken his attention away from my face and there is almost a dream like look in his eyes, on his face.
"Katya, I understand you but there are better ways to deal with all of that where you won't be in danger." He softly speaks and there is a hint of a plead in the way he looks at me.
"Let me help you." He demands but not in a rude manner.
"I meant it when I said that I felt something for you. I'm willing to do anything for you in order to protect you." His words hit me but in a good way.
