Part - 2

Another morning, another start

Kim Haejin is loved by her family a lot.

Being the youngest in her family, she is cherished by her parents and her older brother, Soobin. Despite their occasional teasing, he was always looking out for her.

(Going downstairs)

Haejin: Mom, I am gonna leave early today.
(She said this as she slid into the seat across from Soobin as their mother placed breakfast on the table.)

'Okay, I will inform the driver.' Her mom said nodding.

'Why are you leaving early? Is there something important?' Soobin asked while raising an eyebrow.

Haejin wiped her lips with a napkin. "We have our batch's final quiz competition today. As Head Girl, I need to oversee the arrangements."

Soobin smirked. "And what about the Head Boy? Is he helping, or are you the only one doing all the work?"

Haejin rolled her eyes but couldn't stop the small smile on her lips. "He's doing fine."

Before Soobin could tease her further, their mother called out. "Haejin, hurry up! The driver's waiting."

Grabbing her bag, Haejin stood up. "See you later!"

At School

Kim Namjoon and Kim Haejin are known to be the most studious students in their batch. Haejin moved through the hall, checking the seating arrangements.

"Please arrange the tables properly," she instructed a group of juniors, adjusting a few chairs herself. They have 5 months left before graduation and a final quiz competition for their batch.

Just then, a familiar voice broke through the chatter.

"Everything under control, Haejin?"

She turned to see Kim Namjoon walking in, as composed as always.

Kim Namjoon—Head Boy, top student, and... her ideal type. Or was it just a silly crush? She doesn't have strong feelings for her, but when someone asks who her ideal type is, Namjoon's face pops up in front of her.

Namjoon gave a small approving nod before stepping forward to help. Haejin glanced at him briefly, remembering the moment she first noticed him.

Flashback

Six Months Ago...

'Today we will announce the Head Boy and Head Girl of the school. The Head Boy and Head Girl will be batched and honoured by the Chairman of the school.

The principal's voice echoed through the auditorium, and Haejin's hands clasped together in anticipation.

' The Head Girl of the 2019 batch is Kim Haejin, who topped her last session with a total of 97.95% '

Applause filled the hall as Haejin walked onto the stage. Her heart pounded, but she kept her posture graceful.

' The Head Boy of the 2019 batch is Kim Namjoon, who topped his last session with a total of 98.25 % '

As Namjoon stepped onto the stage, Haejin's breath caught. He carried himself with quiet confidence, his sharp mind evident in the way he interacted with the staff and students. "He's... amazing." The thought crossed her mind before she could stop it.

That's when she first noticed Namjoon and considered him her ideal type.

End of flashback

Back to the Present

Haejin shook off the memory, focusing back on the task at hand.
