(In the auditorium where the quiz was going to take place)

The setup for the quiz was done, and now they were sitting on a chair nearby.

"The setup is done do you want me to check on something else? You look tired." Namjoon asked Haejin while running his hands through her hair.

"No there is nothing more to do. Thanks, you did a great job~" Haejin said cheerfully.

"You too" he replied while nodding

After doing the formalities they went to find seats for sitting and giving the quiz.

They went to sit according to their assigned number for the quiz. The quiz was about to start but not everyone showed the same enthusiasm the students who did not participate were sitting there as an audience, at the back of the auditorium the whole row was filled with the ones who were not at all interested in the quiz.

The quiz went smoother than they thought, as they were done the host announced

'Alright students the quiz was a great success and the result will be announced in a week from now, all the best everyone you all did a great job.'

As everyone was leaving Haejin saw Namjoon going back to the class. Though Haejin thought of Namjoon as her ideal type as he was good at studies, muscular, and kind too- he was everything she considered as her ideal type, she never felt her heart skip a beat or flutter near him like described in the books she read.

She brushed the thought aside considering it not as important to ponder on.

One week later

[In the classroom]

Jimin sat at his desk, looking at Haejin

"She is so pretty and smart, she would never consider someone like me"
But every time I see her laughing, I get this weird feeling in my chest.
Every time we accidently make eye contact, I feel my stomach twist.

It is crazy how that feeling is the one I can't control.

"Hey, Jimin, what are you looking at?" Jisso said, breaking the chain of his thought.
(Jisso is Haejin's friend at school, and she has a crush on Jimin. Jimin knows it but is not interested.)

Jimin snapped out of his daze, turning to Jisoo, his benchmate.

"Mind your own business" is what Jimin wanted to say. "Nothing. Focus on the class." is what he said instead.

Jisoo wasn't fooled. She had been crushing on him since last year, and despite his repeated rejections, she never gave up. Jimin exhaled. I need to do something about this.

Just then, the teacher's voice rang out.

"Kim Namjoon and Kim Haejin, you both need to go to the principal's office after the class. they want to discuss something about the quiz that happened last week."

Both students nodded. "Okay, ma'am."

After Class – In the Principal's Office

Namjoon and Haejin stood before the principal's desk as he handed them an official notice.

"The quiz results will be announced this Saturday. Make sure all participants are informed. The prize distribution will also take place at the auditorium."

Haejin took the paper, nodding. "Understood, sir."

Namjoon adjusted his glasses. "We'll make the announcement today."

[At the cafeteria]

Namjoon and Haejin both entered the cafeteria, which was bustling with noise—students chatting, eating, and studying. Haejin cleared her throat, grabbing their attention.

"Everyone, we have an announcement."

The chatter died down slightly as students turned to listen.

Haejin stepped forward. "The results of last week's quiz will be announced this Saturday. All students must gather in the auditorium."

From a nearby table, a voice cut through, "And what about those who didn't participate?"

All eyes turned toward Jeon Jungkook, lounging lazily in his seat with his arm draped around his girlfriend, Ara. His usual smirk played on his lips.

Haejin straightened. "They have to be there too—"

"And what if they don't?" Jungkook interrupted, tilting his head.

Haejin's gaze locked onto his.

Before she could respond, Namjoon stepped in. "It's mandatory." His voice was firm, leaving no room for argument.

Jungkook rolled his eyes but said nothing more.

Jungkook was the school's golden boy. Handsome, effortlessly charming, and a natural at sports. He only studied enough to pass, yet he still held a reputation. Every girl crushed on him. His current girlfriend, Ara, clung to his side as if claiming him for herself.

Meanwhile, at another table, Jimin's eyes were still on Haejin. His feelings for her had been growing for a long time now, no matter how much he tried to ignore them. Jimin has not been bad at expressing his emotions, he never was able to express it back then nor now.

Not far from them, a girl named Sana sat quietly, engrossed in a romance novel. Haejin caught Namjoon glancing at her, a rare softness in his usually serious expression.

A small smirk tugged at Haejin's lips. So, even Namjoon has a crush.

Everyone had their unspoken feelings. Some were obvious, some were buried deep. And some... were just beginning to unfold.
